I had not seen (read) this post prior until just now. I am truly sick to my stomach upon reading this. I did meet your Mom several times and communicated with her on the board and email as well. About 5 years ago my childhood buddies and I decided to get together and since they were from all over I was trying to think about where we could meet. We had last met in our hometown of Bluefield, WV but it was so depressing to see how our town had deteriorated I didn't want to do that. So I thought, let's get together in Boone and go to an APP game. None of them had ever been there so I contacted your Mom about advice and ideas for lodging, etc., It was a Noon game and she invited the 5 of us to her tailgate where we ate shrimp and grits and french toast and other goodies. I most likely met you there as well. She also gave us 5 tickets for free so my buddies and I made a $100 donation in her name to The Yosef Club. We met her again a year or two later when we got together for another game. Again, she had tickets for us and when I tried to pay her, she just said, "Make a donation to The YOSEF Club", which I did again in her name. She was a wonderful person and will be missed beyond words.
I am so sad right now but hope you and your family come out of this as best as possible. Take Care. WVApp

I'm extremely saddened to pass along that my mother has passed on this afternoon. Thank you to all from App Nation who were behind her in her fight.

Very sad news. I only knew your mom from our message boards but it was for a fairly long time. She helped keep us Florida exiles in touch with all things APP. She will be greatly missed by the entire ASU family. My deepest condolences

Very sad news for me and App Nation. Daphne was a very special person and humbly adopted App as her own and worked hard for App. She was a true Mountaineer.

Biggest App Nation loss for me since Gerald Adams. I met Daphne in 2007 and had the pleasure of serving on the Yosef Advisory Board with her for many years. Few Mountaineers gave their ALL more than she did the past 15-20 years.

App State and society in general lost a great friend, a selfless spirit, and kind heart yesterday. I wish the family peace during this time and THANK YOU for sharing her with us all these years.

I never met your mom, but I can tell from the outpouring of condolences that she had a positive impact on many people. Losing a parent is tough stuff. You will be in our prayers.

Condolences to you and your family. While my interactions with Daphne were limited, she was indeed a tremendous supporter of all things Yosef and App! Will miss her posts and presence.

Brian, I am stunned by the news.
I am so sorry for your loss.
I never met your mom but from all the posts that she had, that represented App State and your family, everyone knows you have a special mom... and I don’t say that lightly,as I am #8 of 10 children of a mom who exuded love , just like your mom. You are in my prayers . God bless your family
