The Stink and Arky State play tomorrow night on ESPN2, kickoff 8pm. As crazy as it may sound, believe I'll be pulling for the Stink in this one.

O/U on # of fans that show up to Paulson? My guess is 8k is the best case scenario for a Wednesday night home opener when you factor in that their football team is in the worst state they've been in in long time.

Southern will win by 10 though. That's just how they do.

Two years ago this would be must-see TV. This year I think Georgia Southern's battle cry is going to go from "GATA" to "Not in the face!"

It's still must see TV for me on a Wednesday night. I am pulling for the stink. There's absolutely nothing I like about arky state.

I’d feel bad for the meteor having to land in Statesboro.

I pull for Southern over State every time. Last year was sickening.

GS wins and Summers keeps his job until we see them.

In a perfect world of things we can't control, GS beats stAte and stAte beats Troy. Then the rest is up to us.

I think Arky rolls. This Stink has a different smell this year. Much less pungent. They’re a very bad team.

I was going to say my first preference would be a GS win, second would be stAte beating them by a humiliating margin. But honestly, GS is so bad it's not even fun watching them lose anymore. I think they're beyond being embarrassed. So I guess I don't really care. I'll probably pull "for" GS, but I think they get smoked.

You can’t loose them all until you loose this one. 0-12 sounds fabulous in the boro. New Hampshire, a chicken, minutemen, two biggest rivals. #Endangered to extinct 2017!

Calling all other help for A-state and Troy losses.

Before I get the lecture- We need a strong GS going forward. 11-1 every year after this with nice OOC wins to boost the conference and one annual loss to the black and gold is perfect. This year they aren’t helping the conference at all, so bottom out!

Yeah, I've been a proponent of a strong rival in Georgia Southern but I have to admit that I called this one completely wrong. Unless a miracle occurs, they are a bad team and are on track for their worst season...possibly EVER. I'll still be pulling for them against Arkansas State but I have no expectation of a real game.

If GS somehow pulls out a win, and anything is possible, then GS would probably start believing they'd have a shot against us which would make our Thursday night smack down that much sweeter.

As long as GS is in our conference, we need a strong GS. I am for whatever gets them back on the right track sooner than later. Likely, the leads to Summers getting canned. The only question surrounding that is when GS can feasibly complete that task.
