Isn’t he the one who raced in an Indy 500 and a NASCAR race in the same day?

He did. As have John Andretti, who just died this week, and Kyle Busch. I’m not sure I’d anyone else has.

It was Kurt, not Kyle, that attempted "The Double". Kyle has expressed a desire to do so, but up until this point, JGR and KB's sponsors haven't been to keen on him not focusing on Charlotte and the 600. It'll happen at some point in the next few years, I'd imagine. I also could see Kurt taking another run at it as well. Robby Gordon has also attempted the Indy/Charlotte 1100 miler...so 4 guys total, to this point.

It would be something to see Kurt and Kyle do it in the same year.

Pretty sure Robbie Gordon did the Double a couple of times.

He did, but at the end of the day, he’s Robbie Gordon.

I thought Danica tried it too.

Danica did the "Danica Double" in 2018, running the Daytona 500 and the Indy 500 in the same year. It was meant to be the swan song of her racing career as a driver.

Nope...she toyed with the idea, and wanted to make it happen, but could never seem to get things aligned to give it a shot. A few drivers that could've done it, or done it again, lost about 7 or 8 years there when the start time for the 500 was moved back and made the logistics next to impossible. We are forgetting one man who has done the "double-duty" day and he is one of our very own: the Riceman - Doug Rice! Doug served as a 500 Pit Reporter before flying to Charlotte to assume his normal duties for the 600 on PRN in the evening. He nailed them both...per usual for a Black & Gold man.

Nope. Don’t hit the hippie lettuce before you get into a race car and then step out in front of a car on a dark part of the track.

Won’t argue... but.... nope he is a hot head and his knee jerk typical reaction caused someone their life whether they should have gotten out of the car or not.

I will definitely not argue against him being a hot head. That he is/was.
