Which G5s will stay ranked this year?

CFP got delayed until November, last I saw.

LA tech just got waxed.

Memphis is going to need a miracle comeback as I am typing this.

Might just be Cincy and UCF when its all said and done. That includes when the other conferences start playing and getting ranked. I think the delay in their games hurts the G5 teams who are already playing because of how the lovely human brain works with recent games at the time of rankings holding more sway.

Marshall could go undefeated but their schedule is super weak.

The same goes for a number of sunbelt/c-usa teams.

Will it just be 1-2 American and that's it?

Side note.....Drink might not win a game this year.

Welp, looks like Memphis might be pulling that comeback after being down 24 to 3.

Depends on the exact topic.

If it's just non-P5 teams who don't normally get the same attention from the media, I say count em so they coverage.

But if we're talking about the technical definition of G5, no. Since they're not in a G5 conference. Which is an important distinction to make because they don't qualify for the G5 NY6 autobid, reserved only for the highest ranked G5 conference champion.

Unfortunate side note. He’d be 3-0 here in 2020.

It is too early to even speculate with certainty in a normal year so this year is even harder. The average for G5 to finish ranked over the last 5 years is 5.6 per year. Last year saw the most with 7 teams.

So far though the best chances are Cincy, BYU, UCF, SMU, Marshall, and the winner of the Louisiana vs App game.
