Go Army!! Dad served in the army. Hated every minute of it. Something about having to take orders just did not sit right with him. . He actually had a easy job. He was a driver for an officer out in White Sands, NM.

The nightmare of close combat in the jungle never ended. Kill or be killed. The sounds , sights and smell of death and the dying. It was only spoken of when he mentioned it. And that was extremely rare. We knew not to ask. But yes , GO ARMY !

As a retired Coastie, I always get a kick out of individuals that say the reason they never went into the military was they didn't want to take orders (or, be told what to do). They have a word for that, unemployed. LOL
