AppMan
Doug Glenn (most of you know him as AppMan) lost his dad last night. He is handling this with strength and faith, as I knew he would. Please keep him (and his son, JT) in your thoughts and prayers.

Re: AppMan
Thought and Prayers to Doug, JT and their family. Loss is never easy, as I've been there many times, including my mom and dad. It's a good thing to have a supportive, extended family of Mountaineers to stand with them in their time of need.

Re: AppMan
Thanks, Chris, for letting us know of the Glenn family's loss. Doug has often mentioned his Dad in our conversations. Losing a parent is one of life's most emotional and distressing events. I know this is hitting him extremely hard. You will probably have the opportunity to speak with him before I will. (We have a death in our family out-of-state and we're leaving later today.) Please give him my regards and tell him I'll return his call early next week. Pauletta and I will remember the Glenns in our thoughts and prayers.Appsolutely wrote:Doug Glenn (most of you know him as AppMan) lost his dad last night. Re: AppMan
Had talked to Doug several times about the condition of his Dad the last few days... The one thing I know for sure, Doug and his Dad were VERY close-- his Dad took him to many football games as a kid and instilled in Doug the passion he has for the game today. Doug, JT and your family are in my prayers!

Re: AppMan
Doug's Dad is having no formal service per his Dad's request. The family is having a private service Monday. Doug will be at the game tomorrow---said his Dad wouldn't have had it any other way. It's is still a huge loss and Doug said the prayers are appreciated.

Re: AppMan
Sorry to hear. I've had the opportunity to break bread with DG on a number of occasions when he has passed through Richmond. Won't find a better man, nor a more passionate Mountaineer. I pray for Doug, JT and the Glenn family.
