I may have posted this link here before, but this is such an epic performance it doesn't hurt to put it here again. This was the finale from the Kennedy Center Honors in 2012.

Every once in a while at those shows, something great happens. This is certainly one of those times.

Yeah, I think Ann and Nancy knocked that one out of the park. The Zep guys seemed to think so too.

Cool seeing Jason Bonham playing drums on the song.

I could watch that over, and over and over again, thanks for sharing, you could see Paige remembering every note in his head during the guitar solo. Talking about pressure on the Heart girls, performing the greatest rock song in the Kennedy Center, in from of Zep,...wow!!

I saw an interview with Ann and Nancy after that performance. They said the first concert they ever saw was Led Zep in Seattle. They both said that show changed their lives and they have been huge Zep fans ever since. They talked about what an honor it was to be able to do that song on that night. I think their love and respect for Led Zep came through loud and clear in that performance. I think Ann Wilson might be the best female rock vocalist ever and she did nothing but reinforce my opinion with that performance.
I've probably watched that video 50 times and it still moves me. To see the guys from Zep enjoying it so much (if you can bring Robert Plant to tears, you've done something) and the look on Letterman's face, and Yo Yo Ma rocking out, and Debbie Allen having a spiritual moment near the end, it is just a masterful job by Heart and Jason Bonham; truly one of the most moving things I have ever seen.

That is a fantastic performance and like the others, I've watched it dozens of times. The most recent Kennedy Center Honors was pretty good for musicians as well: Billy Joel, Herbie Hancock, and Carlos Santana.

Great performance, loved seeing Jason Bonham. My favorite from that night was "Rock n' Roll". It does not compare in any way to the Wilson's, but was great fun. I just always liked the Foo Fighters, and there are few modern bands I can say that about, and it was great to see Dave Grohl back on the skins. Taylor Hawkins did pretty well on vocals, and he's an awesome drummer, but Dave grew up playing drums to Zeppelin tunes and "had to do it". Zeppelin joined them on stage at Wembley and Dave played drums with Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones (who is a bass magician) in their rightful places.
