#3 of 30 teams...

Bud's hometown brewsters. Some potent guys in the line-up, but that pitching staff tells you almost everything you need to know about the history of the Brewers. There's a reason the Brewers do not hold any World Series pennants.

*I forgot about the Brewers playing in the WS '82... Oops...

I would agree with you. This is a good team sans starting pitching.

Brewers side note: in 1970 they became the Brewers after leaving Seattle. There they were known as the Pilots. They were only there one season and then moved. The Pilots are probably better known as the team that Jim Bouton wrote about in his book/seasonal diary "Ball Four." It brought the old "sanctity of the locker room" out into the open, drove Bowie Kuhn to distraction, sold a gazillion books for Bouton and also made him a lot of money. As an added bonus the book was the funniest sports book ever written at the time. It was followed by "I'm Glad You Didn't Take it Personally" by Bouton. Then Sparky Lyle wrote "The Bronx Zoo" and Ron Luciano wrote "The Umpire Strikes Back." All good reads!!
