The NCAA council Approves unlimited food, where is this all going to stop? Now they can have cream cheese on their bagels...what a bunch of wimps.

They can have peanut butter too. It's a slippery slope. Next year jelly - then who knows what's next.

Does this mean they can buy everything out of the snack machines and sell them to other students for a profit? Does this mean they can go through the lunch room line and get 100 items just because they can? Is this truly unlimited or will there be limits. I could see this back firing. It may seem like a little thing but it could cause some issues.

I don't think it means that schools have to be stupid, I think it gives them the freedom to give additional food if they think the student should have it. In the end do we treat them as 11 or 20 years old (or do we punish 1000's of kids a year because one might abuse it.)appdaze wrote:Does this mean they can buy everything out of the snack machines and sell them to other students for a profit? Interesting reading regarding the evolution of NCAA sports, and how the NCAA has massaged the definition of amateurism to fit their own purpose. Discussions regarding growing inequality in revenues among member institutions and recent, dramatic growth in coaches salaries are particularly interesting.

My mother always used to say "finish your dinner, there is a starving left tackle out there who would be happy to be at this table".
