Last night at Dallas Cowboys Stadium (AT&T) George Strait shattered the indoor attendance record for a concert, previously held by The Rolling Stones (1981-Superdome) with 105,000 fans for his final (planned) concert... Good guy!!

An alum of fellow Sun Belt school Texas State, although when George and I went there in the late 70's it was Southwest Texas State. I saw him and Asleep at the Wheel when I was in school in San Marcos in 1976. Have to admit that I was not a fan then and I'm still not a fan because his music is not what I enjoy, but I respect his ability and longevity.

One of his reps for his record label is a friend of mine and a fellow ASU alum. She has shared many stories of how down to earth he is.
