I'm watching. It looks like a capacity crowd. Mostly Bison, but it looks like Illinois State traveled pretty well.crossza wrote:Go ISU!!!! Who's watching? How's the crowd?

Not the largest stadium though. Maybe 20,000 seats?AppinVA wrote:I'm watching. It looks like a capacity crowd. Mostly Bison, but it looks like Illinois State traveled pretty well.crossza wrote:Go ISU!!!! Who's watching? How's the crowd?

Re: NDSU vs. ISU
Can't both teams lose?
Don't want the Bizon to get a 4-peat, hard to root for Illinois State after they played a role in a very painful moment in our football history.

Re: NDSU vs. ISU
ISU's offensive play calling is holding them back. They have the best player in the FCS running the football, he gets 28 yards on first down, then you throw the ball three times and have to punt.

For those who have watched App football since the late 1980's, does NDSU's offense remind you of the App offense, pre-spread?

A little. Same as far as power-running, but they incorporate a little of the read-option and some spread where we were more of the power I/occasional option team, depending on personnel.sonsofyosef wrote:For those who have watched App football since the late 1980's, does NDSU's offense remind you of the App offense, pre-spread?
Their defense does look a bit like a John Wiley-esque "bend but don't break" 4-3.

Re: NDSU vs. ISU
ISU obviously doesn't believe in the prevent. 1 deep safety and man across. And a jailhouse blitz. Living on the edge, we'll see how it turns out (but I like the aggressiveness).
