Any people on here from the Piedmont Triad?
This may be a super long shot, but I am desperate for an internship for summer of 2015. Are there any people on this board who's company is looking for a business intern (HR/Management) ? Thanks! I am a current sophomore at ASU.

I am a public school teacher so I can't help directly but I can ask around at school. Some of the spouses of my co-workers may be of help.crossza wrote:This may be a super long shot, but I am desperate for an internship for summer of 2015. I don't know if the ESC could help as they are focusing on paid jobs and not interns I would think but it may be that they have some unofficial leads. Maybe the Chambers of Commerce might be worth a call as well. Worse you get is a "nope" in both cases.
This is my very generic signature added to each post.

I suggest that you join LinkedIn. You can filter internships in the area where you want to work and you can start networking with professionals. Good luck.

Follow AppSt94s suggestion for registering for LinkedIn; contact the Chamber of Commerce in all area cities and counties.AppSt94 wrote:I suggest that you join LinkedIn. You can filter internships in the area where you want to work and you can start networking with professionals. Good luck.
Also, contact each city/county EDC (Economic Develop Commission/Corporation). Don't stop there. Make contact with each region's Council of Government. Start with the High Country Council of Governments (HCCOG)...and go from there.
You can further develop this list of resources from your own searches. Best wishes.

Not in my company but in addition to resources already listed here's an internship bank for the community development finance industry.crossza wrote:This may be a super long shot, but I am desperate for an internship for summer of 2015.
