That strategy was intentional in NC. The 'leaders' want to force out older teachers because, as you said, it saves millions in salaries and benefits. My wife is a teacher and she just snuck in the segment with the bigger increase. I happen to think this is those folks in Raleigh trying to implement a corporate strategy that relies on young, cheap labor but moves it back out of the company just as quickly. Unfortunately that is going to result in a lot of lost institutional knowledge.MAD Doctor wrote:It's the new obscene hiring strategy in education.
