MLB Post-Season...

After a week of no access to internet (didn't realize how much I use the internet until it's gone) and another 3 days of denial about the Reds, let's get caught up on the Post Season shall we?
NL:
Shockingly, the Giants and Cardinals have survived to continue their runs in 2012. Can the Cardinals' magic pull out another NL pennant this year? Will the Giants pitching come back and pull another "Cincinnati" to play in the Series by winning 3-in-a-row?
While the Nats may have been over-reaching a little this year (we will be talking about baseball in DC again for a couple years), did anyone think that the Cardinals would take the series? Give the redbirds some credit - they are playing their best ball when it counts.
Giants, the SF Giants... How in the world did they beat the Reds scoring only 2 (TWO) earned runs in the first three games? Oh my denial is kicking back up... Now we watch those same Giants playing the Cardinals. No need to elaborate here: Cardinals move on the back-to-back World Series appearances.
AL:
The magical mystery tour known as Buck Showalter finally run out of juice against the Yankees. While many were saddened to see the Cinderalla Orioles bow out, it would have been a Disney movie in the making if they had moved on. The O's only had a +7 run differential for the season. The next lowest playoff team was the Tigers at +56. It caught up with them against the Bronx Boys.
On the other side, The Tigers did their part and took used 'home' field advantage perfectly. Even though it went 5 games, Mr. Verlander is the horse you don't want to see on the mound for game 5.
So, we moved on to the ALCS: the Yankees visited the Tigers clubhouse. And "visited" is the appropriate word. WOW! With a 4 game sweep thanks for great pitching (by hurlers not named Verlander mind you) and the Tigers are the visiting team for the 2012 World Series.
World Series: Hmmm... I'm thinking Verlander/Cabrera/Fielder/Leyland and company bring the trophy to Motor City for the first time since Kirk Gibson/Sparky Anderson days (1984).
