We are in need of someone to take over the maintenance of the MMB. Yosef has done it for a long time, and we are grateful for all he has done, but life happens and he no longer has the time to devote to its upkeep. If anyone here is interested in helping to keep the board running, please let me know via DM.

I haven't been to a Fan Fest is a few years but will be in Boone this weekend...is there a practice/scrimmage that you can watch prior to the photo opp? Just trying to see if there will be fun for die-hards too.

Re: Fan Fest
Have tried to find some information on Fan Fest but have not been successful. All I have seen is it is from 6:00 - 7:00 and basically all it is the opportunity to meet athletes and get pictures/autographs. Is that it?

They are going to have bounce houses. That and Pokemon Go are right up your alley.

Re: Fan Fest
I understand not having the scrimmage anymore. Last thing we need is another potential injury on the O-Line. However, I do miss how it allowed students specifically incoming Freshmen and their families to see some of the traditions and to hear the band play.
Although, any reason to make a trip to Boone is a good reason.

Re: Fan Fest
I think they should do a Student Appreciation Day on the 20th . Have students meet the players in a casual setting (no autograph lines or tables), talk selfies, hit the pads, try on pads and jerseys, take more selfies, do some drills and not only with the football team, but all fall sports teams.
Have the band out there and fire everyone up at the end with a special pre-performance. Everyone wins.

Re: Fan Fest
Tyson was with the O-Line autograph table. I asked if it was official. Said he's still working both sides.

We went and had a good time. One thing we noticed is the difference in size over years past. We are clearly getting bigger at every position. Recruiting and Iron Mike getting it done. GO APPS!

Re: Fan Fest
I had a great time at Fan Fest. The players were very approachable and polite. I was also pleased to meet the teams that play sports in the fall. The addition of the ladies field hockey team to the MAC was a major announcement.
