[quote="BeerTownCanesFan"]Good Afternoon, Mountaineer Nation!
Looking forward to this weekend as App State and The Rock. It appears to be one of those "Must Go" Stadiums for any college football fan....
Our crew of about 250 will be tailgating at the South lot next to the Baseball Stadium. Playing Boone Golf Club Friday and that too looks to be a fairly decent track (what's the course record?)... Feel free to stop down, give us your best harassment and slug some beer with us Saturday., we'd love to have ya... Travel safe and have a great weekend, Kids. Thanks in advance for having us. Boone looks like a great place to spend a fall weekend with our family...
Looking forward to a day at The Rock and dishing out a Miami Beatdown of Cat. 5 proportions...

Being born in Ft Lauderdale and then moving to the Beautiful mountains of Gods country after Hurricane Andrew this is truly a dream game for me. Make no mistake I will be decked out in black and gold and hopefully not able to speak when the game is over. Any App or Miami fan is welcome to stop by and enjoy a cold one. I have a spot in Rivers Deck, but will more likely end up in Stadium around spot 258. Give em Hell App!!

I hope you'll enjoy everything but the score Saturday.

Go Apps! Beat Miami!
HA! Well played... Nope, I think we have everything we need... except perhaps a Bail Bondsman...
But thank you!
There is a guy in our tailgate that is a probation officer, maybe he can help you out. Nevermind, he's been contracted by the U to keep an eye on their players.

I know this is in an email update somewhere, but damn if I can find it, so this is a question I should know the answer too. What time do the campus lots open on Saturday?

Per AppStateSports.com:

PARKING LOTS & GATES OPEN EARLY – Parking lots and gates will open early to allow students and fans to have plenty of time to enjoy the gameday experience with a 12 p.m. kickoff. GATES WILL OPEN AT 10 a.m. and PARKING LOTS WILL OPEN AT 8 a.m.

Out of his jurisdiction, Chief.... But not to worry, we come chaperoned by US Marshalls, so you're good..

Question about shuttles: My dad is getting up there in age and can't do the hills like he use to. I was wondering what shuttle he could catch to take him up Stadium Dr. to the east gate? Where would he catch this shuttle? Thanks in advance.

Just make sure you are below the hole on #6. Birdied it my last time out.

Where you parking. Only shuttles I ever hear of are the ones from the mall parking lot and from the Watauga Social Services building.

That's part of my inquiry. I've seen several shuttles pull right up to the traffic circle by the east gate. My dad struggles pretty mightily going up hills so I was trying to find out where he might be able to catch a shuttle. I was thinking if we couldn't arrange getting him on a shuttle if I'd be able to drive in the back way through the neighborhood down Stadium Dr and drop him off at the gate myself before I go park at the Library Deck/Legends. I know they close Stadium Dr. from River St. unless you have a pass but wasn't sure if they close it off from the neighborhood above the stadium.

I'm pretty sure there is a shuttle from the handicap lot behind the Holmes Center. I've seen it dropping off/picking up people at the East Gate before and after the games.

Appreciate the heads up JT. I'll look into the Holmes lot about getting him a ride.
