I agree that this is shaping up to be a very exciting class but to be fair, we've been doing well on the recruiting trail for the last few years as well.

Blackmon, Krah, Collmar, Law, Holloway, Darian Small and Malachi Jones all had FBS offers in the 2012 class, which we pulled together after losing our recruiting coordinator in crunch time.

Has Moore not been bashed enough? Weren't most of the coaches currently recruiting also involved in recruiting over the past 2-3 years (except Satterfield)? Sometimes recruiting falls in your favor, other times not. Too early to tell how good the past two recruiting classes will turn out, but seems we've had some good players in them.

I was not intending to bash JM ,just stating opinion that i have never seen this style of aggressive recruiting with jerry at the helm. I personally think we will be a better team with scott leading this ship.

You bring up a good point. When one of our players tweets commitment news, I consider that second hand and don't usually go with it as a done deal. Deondre Singleton comes to mind. When the prospect tweets that he has committed, then I consider that a good enough source. Taylor Lamb reaffirmed McElfresh's announcement via Twitter a short time later. I should have been more specific.

who knows how good any of them will be, I love recruiting time, everyone thinks that the players they get will all be upstanding young men in the community, and will be allamerican football players. I always thought that if you sign 20 players and 6 or 7 make it to graduation and live up to expectations on the field, you have had a good recruiting class.

Seems like we may be close to our 14-16 grants many think we have this recruiting season. Did we get too many commitments the first week?

I'm betting the two Cowan brothers are walk ons and the transfer from Utah a partial. I also don't see us giving the kicker from Miami any grant money either.

Nothing new on the recruiting front tonight except that Scot Sloan tweeted that he had a great in-home visit tonight and that "It's great to have them as part of the Mountaineer family." That could mean a new commitment or it could mean he was visiting with the family of one of our existing commitments.
