Yeah I’m really wondering who it could be because I feel like it will be another left field hire like drink where no one really expected him.

But anyone looking in to this job has to realize they’re walking in to a gold mine. Lost three starters on statistically one of the best defenses in the country and we have the strongest secondary and LB units in the conference.

Anyone familiar with Kevin Patrick from NC State. Went to Miami(played DE there) and has coached Dline at USF(I think while JPP was there), Texas Tech and NC State. Coached Bradley Chubb into perhaps the guy that will win defensive ROY in the NFL. Worth an interview and started at NC State around the same time as Drink for the pack. Anyone heard this name thrown around? Looks like he makes 340k a year.

Looked it up, he did in fact coach JPP as well. Couldn't hurt in recruiting being able to say you were the position coach for 2 of the best to do it in the NFL over the past decade.

I feel the same way (which right there means it will not happen). But it's a really random person for two of our guys to start following out of the blue(regardless of recruiting out of high school). Just wonder how or why he would leave a P5 as assistant HC to become a DC at a G5. But then again why would Dorsey leave being assistant AD to become an "offensive assistant"? If Viedt does become our DC then you know Drink can really sell our program.
