Stadium expansion...?

Unread post by 8993 » Wed Mar 27, 2013 9:19 pm

So, we all know that there was a concept for stadium expansion released a few years ago, but now that we're actually FBS, when will we have concrete plans to expand? Expansion is a must if we want to host larger teams.

All Cobb said was " Stadium Expansion: While they still plan to work on the stadium as a whole as explained in the Strategic Plan, seating shouldn’t change"

thought Cobb was pretty vague, and careful with his answers, in fact their was one question where he didnt even give an answer, just rambled for 2 or 3 minutes. With the way he answered some of the questions, if he ever changed professions, I think he would be a great US Senator.

The SB teams don't travel well....won't be that many more fans anyway, but when we play teams like UNC, State, Wake (if they will play us).....it will be packed... I didn't include ECU because their fans would fill up our stadium without us being in it...

Time for the TRACK to go

If JMU joins they will bring 5-7 thousand, and we can count on GS packing the stadium, but your right, got to get rid of that dam track!!

Not so sure about that. I don't recall either of those teams coming anywhere close to packing our stadium when we played them in the past.

Not to be a dick, but isn't there already a lengthy thread with the same title as this one?

ODU just announced a home and home football games with N.C. State yesterday.

Middle Tennessee years ago started playing Maryland at home and beat them a couple of years ago.

Why have we not already announced concrete plans for major seating expansion.
If Peacock and Cobb had to sit or stand on a wet bank it would have been done years and years ago.

Middle Tennessee also played Georgia Tech and beat them. Troy has hosted Oklahoma State, Mississippi State, Navy, Marshall, and Missouri over the years. Also heard they signed a future home-and-home with Duke.
