Re: video
I started this thread and was vocal last fall with DJ several time when I could not get games online which I could not attend.
I am a veteran ISP guy. Worked for North Carolinas first corporate internet service provider in the early 90's and university's have TONS of bandwidth.
The problem is our secondary provider. Neulion or IMG

Re: video
As did many others, I had to settle for the audio only version of the Sun Belt Introductory Press Conference.
Now, some five hours later, I'd like to be able to watch the GoASU TV Archive. A link to the archive appears to be on http://www.goasu.com/ViewArticle.dbml?D ... =206946378 but it does not work for me.
Anyone else?

Re: video
As and Oldtimer (ref. JTApps) I did this old school. Somehow I knew this feed/link would not work before hand, I wonder how I figured that?
I decided to do it old school and take a trip down memory lane while ASU's future was being announced. At 3:55 est I went out to the driveway sat in my car and listened to the event on the radio. It worked like a charm as always before, I was most happy and felt right at home.

Re: video
NeuLion is used by lots of colleges. The reason we could watch the LSU baseball last year was that LSU is a NeuLion school and they shared the feed. The smaller schools use things even worse, ie UNCG, Elon. I don't know of any other platform that works with larger schools except CBSSports, which is what WCU uses. I do think the NeuLion contract should include some performance standards where money goes back to ASU when this crap happens over and over.JTApps1 wrote:I finally got video just as DJ was interviewing Cobb after the press conference. Can we leave Neulion in FCS when we move?

Re: video
Well, I missed the whole thing. Video never worked, audio crapped out after about 5 minutes. It really is a disgrace. Now that we've upgraded the program, are about to upgrade facilities, etc. can we get serious about upgrading this awful situation we have with out web site? First of all, just to even get to the video, is convoluted. Then, it never works! And to make it all worse, here we are almost 6 hours after the biggest announcement ever, and they still don't have it on the web site. I thought for sure by now, it would be up so we could see it. A link is there, but it just takes to to still photos from the press conf. Although now we can see why Price switched numbers, they had to give a #14 jersey to some guy named Sun Belt.

Re: video
SHHHH!!!!! You're not supposed to talk about that. I've been checking this new recruit out. He's from SC but living in Charlotte. Itnamra SunBelt is a pretty decent dual threat QB we've been working on getting and it looks like he's going to be free to come here. Seems like we've been targeting him for a while. Very clean cut kid now and, while he used to mow his own grass like another 14 we once had he doesn't anymore. I'll keep everybody updated but keep it on the QT.AppinATL wrote:Well, I missed the whole thing. Video never worked, audio crapped out after about 5 minutes. It really is a disgrace. Re: video
Did anyone finally find a decent feed of the announcement? I didn't see it posted and the one on the Go ASU site has buffering issues and seems to be an unedited version with just an "A" spinning around! I checked youtube and didn't see anything there yet.
BTW, does anyone know if you have a web page, etc kind of like GSU did by branding "The Journey" or do you think it will just be random comments put on the standard GoASU,com. Also wasn't one of the goals to change to goappstate.com or something.

Re: video
Go back to goasu and click on the video. If you're seeing the spinning "A" then it's working just advance the video to about the 20 minute mark. That's where the program starts.Maddog1956 wrote:Did anyone finally find a decent feed of the announcement?
