I'm with you. One classic block A for everything and one Yosef logo everywhere. It seems like getting the new logo helmets will be an unnecessary expense. I doubt the old ones could be recycled and having new logos put on, as they probably require new helmets altogehter.[/quote]JCline0429 wrote:AppGrad78 wrote:Worse yet, how will that logo look stuck to the window of an SUV, especially one with tinted windows?JTApps1 wrote:I just wonder how the new logo will show up on TV. The white A is very easy to recognize from a distance and on TV, but this logo will probably get lost on the black helmet.asucrutch23 wrote:I'm sure this has already been said, but IMO we could wear yellow jerseys with yellow pants, yellow helmets, yellow socks, yellow shoes, yellow armbands, and yellow towels if it meant 17-18 year old kids liked it. I know it's probably never THE reason guys commit, but it can't hurt to try to appease the target audience.
For the record, I love the new look, especially black on black and white on white. Not a huge fan of the grey or the black/white and white/black combos. Also, count me as one who is a fan of the new helmets. Love the matte AND the black block A. I think it will stand out with the yellow outline more than most people seem to. Overall I'm very pleased. I think we are really trying to look the FBS part.
They are decals. We could change to a new logo every week if we wanted to without replacing any helmets. As a matter of fact when I was a manager I did replace many "block A's" and stripes each week because they were torn during a game or practice. That was a Saturday morning ritual, changing decals and waxing the helmets so they would shine. Sometimes we even replaced them during games if they were torn badly.
I even remember when I played in high school that one season our decals didn't come in until our first game day. It was a road game and we put the decals on our helmets while on the bus going to the game.
