Wrong, Nate Johnson #90 will have hundreds of thousands of dollars thrown at him this off-season to transfer, we lost but it wasn’t because of #90. He was a beast out there. Go watch it again.

We can fix this. We have a history and one of the best fanbases in the G5. Georgia Southern drew just over 21,000 for their game. Few G5 programs come close to our attendance. WE can fix this. Can Gillin?

I don’t think Clark is capable of fixing anything. You can’t let employees choose their supervisor and you can’t let student athletes choose their coach…We have progressively gotten worse. He is flying the program straight into the ground. I don’t believe Gillin will be able to justify this much longer to the donors, he will have to do something.

Nate Johnson as a true freshman is just finding his groove, imo. Dude is gonna be a beast.

All in all though, don’t see any improvement with current staff, unfortunately. And if the powers that be also agree and make changes after season, I agree with others that it will take 1-3 seasons to get back to the top. (I.e. recruiting, departures, minimum 1 year of continuity of a new staff)

I partially agree with you. Nate is a true freshman ... I agree he shows promise and can be very dominate, maybe play in the league, if he continues the growth. But he isn't there yet. There were several plays where he hurt us in the run last night. I noticed coaches having to explain some things with him when he came off the sideline after their 2nd TD.
He played very well, but didn't just take over the game ala ADG or Marco Jackson. Although, I think he will eventually get to that level.

Again, I point to our rivals, GA Southern. They went 3-9 in Chad Lunsford’s last year, and he was fired mid season. Last year, they brought in Clay Helton. He went 6-7 with a loss in the Camellia Bowl (and beat App, if y’all somehow don’t remember). Southern is 5-2 currently. If those idiots can do it, App can do it. Firing Clark isn’t going to send App State football into the wilderness unless they make another bad hire.
