If you think Georgia won't care than you haven't been paying attention to what Kirby has built. Georgia will have even a bigger chip on their should because not only were they left out, but nobody is even saying that it is an injustice that they were left out. They will make a statement, no question in my mind about it. I doubt many on Georgia sit out, just like nobody from Bama did last year. These teams are just built differently, it is far more about the team.311neers wrote: ↑Mon Dec 04, 2023 11:37 amFSU could win it. Georgia doesn't care and will have 10-15 sit out. Re: Bowl announcements for other schools
Probably the wrong one to talk to about UGA. You are correct though, Kirby has built a monster and wants guys that are all in or to get the heck out. They might still care to an extent but this is same thing happened in 2018 and 2019 that is setting up now. They were heartbroken and 1 game away from playoffs. Lost the SEC ship and went Sugar bowl both times. A ton of players opted out against Texas in the Sugar bowl and they came out flat and got straight beat up. Same thing happened v Cincy in the Sugar bowl in 2019. Came out flat, needed a freshman kicker to hit from 60 yards to win. He's going to roll with the guys that are 110% all in, if not, he will show them the door. They should win by 3 scores, but I'm hesitant to say that due to 2018-2019.t4pizza wrote: ↑Mon Dec 04, 2023 2:41 pmIf you think Georgia won't care than you haven't been paying attention to what Kirby has built. Re: Bowl announcements for other schools
Seems like a bunch of FSU fans want to continue to argue they are deserving when they know they can't compete against Georgia and the a$$ whopping would legitimize the committee's choice. Absolutely absurd suggestions. Play the game and take your lumps like everyone else who played Georgia these past 3 years, everyone except Alabama.

I wish I could see into the future like all of these people who know what would happen. I'd be a lot closer to retirement.

I would have rather seen the committee leave the SEC out of the playoffs and then you'd really see what petty behavior looks like.

Re: Bowl announcements for other schools
They got the 4 best teams they could and I hate it for FSU - I watched them most of the season and really like them - Great defense but without Travis.......
Personally I would take UGA over Mich - Big 10 is a joke - look at Michigan's schedule - If OSU and Mich were in the SEC we would still have had the championship game between Bama and UGA

16 in portal just alone already for Georgia. Some of the kids just don’t care. Some of these were 1st/2nd team all SEC. Kirby mentioned the bowl game is essentially a spring game because half the team is gone. It’ll be a closer game than most think with Georgia at about 70% of a roster.

I have to admit that surprised me. Really thought Kirby ran a tighter ship but I guess even the top isn't immune to this stuff. I still think they beat FSU though.311neers wrote: ↑Fri Dec 15, 2023 6:06 pmhttps://x.com/sethwemerson/status/17357 ... 3hJ5cku44gt4pizza wrote: ↑Wed Dec 06, 2023 11:00 amSeems like a bunch of FSU fans want to continue to argue they are deserving when they know they can't compete against Georgia and the a$$ whopping would legitimize the committee's choice. Kids going to the portal has nothing to do with running a tight ship. If a kid decides to bolt, by definition, they are stepping outside the program controls.

A bunch of the players at UGA were undoubtedly 4 and 5 star guys but have found the competition for PT tough. Many of them probably figure that having been signed by UGA will translate to big offers and NIL money deals from "lesser " programs. Some probably get the bag and some get a reality sandwich.t4pizza wrote: ↑Sat Dec 16, 2023 2:47 pmI have to admit that surprised me. Re: Bowl announcements for other schools
That makes complete sense for guys who can't crack the starting lineup, but some of these are all conference guys. Hard to believe that UGA can't pay as much or more than the next guy for all conference proven players.Bigdaddyg1 wrote: ↑Tue Dec 19, 2023 7:47 amA bunch of the players at UGA were undoubtedly 4 and 5 star guys but have found the competition for PT tough. Possible ( I know not probable ) they are saying you want to go play for pay, go. We are not doing it.t4pizza wrote: ↑Tue Dec 19, 2023 9:34 amThat makes complete sense for guys who can't crack the starting lineup, but some of these are all conference guys.
