We had a blast in Laramie. It was all great except for how the game turned out.AppYosef! wrote: ↑Sat May 18, 2024 2:37 pmThanks for this info. I guess that was one of the home games I had to miss. Watched the game on TV last year and heard good things about the Laramie area from folks who went.
We are in need of someone to take over the maintenance of the MMB. Yosef has done it for a long time, and we are grateful for all he has done, but life happens and he no longer has the time to devote to its upkeep. If anyone here is interested in helping to keep the board running, please let me know via DM.

Does anyone know if our video crew plans to include the App clips from the trailer in our pre-game video package? The pre-game video before the team runs out always gets a pop but you hear it get louder for example when the Michigan kick block comes up. I think the video game trailer clips would as well with the students and video gamers in the stands.

I imagine anything that EA Sports wanted to include in their game Appalachian provided it. Appalachian would not have won all those video awards without being as thorough as they have been. I just hope anything, "Roll Neer's," makes it through. https://www.hcpress.com/app-state/roll- ... -that.htmlAppStFan1 wrote: ↑Sun May 19, 2024 9:14 amDoes anyone know if our video crew plans to include the App clips from the trailer in our pre-game video package? Hopefully, an edict from the interim chancellor will ban Roll Neers!! Automatic suspension from the university if said on campus groundsAppWyo wrote: ↑Sun May 19, 2024 4:43 pmI imagine anything that EA Sports wanted to include in their game Appalachian provided it. I wanna say I read somewhere most schools get three combinations with some schools like Oregon getting a few more./\PP ST/\TE GRAD 09 wrote: ↑Fri May 17, 2024 8:33 pmHopefully EA Sports is/has loaded up on uniform combinations. I was told they were asked to provide lots of photos, graphics, and bio like information, which was probably all the schools in the game. Like today, I guess we will all know as it comes out. Cool stuff and Big Time for App!

I pre-ordered at Gamestop in early March. I am surprised it has taken many this long to pre-order.

Was watching some of the other trailers for the game.
This one shows the players running out on the field and the video board at 30 seconds.
App on Defense at home at 47 seconds.
Shows a James Burton TE as previously at App St in the portal at 3:27

I've got to applaud EA Sports for giving the various G5 schools some love with these videos.
So much to unpack for me personally with this recent video, as I will be playing this game A LOT. Should I modify the conferences to be more realigned regionally? Bring the Pac 12 back? Should I start off as offensive or defensive coordinator for App?

After watching that it is going to be a lot of work to do dynasty. Things have changed a lot from those blobs on the field in the 80s/90s.

If one does not own a current gen game system and the last system predates any backwards compatibility (Wii, PS2) which system should one purchase?
Is there any talk of NCAA Basketball or NCAA Baseball, which were the other NCAA sports I am aware of over the years.

PS6 or Xbox X Series. I have not heard of any talk regarding the baseball or basketball games. I don't think they sell enough copies that EA Sports would see them as a worthwhile project. You have to remember with all the added costs of having to start from scratch and paying the athletes to be in the game that there is no reason to make a game that won't sell but maybe 1/5 the amount of copies as football.McLeansvilleAppFan wrote: ↑Sat Jul 06, 2024 8:51 amIf one does not own a current gen game system and the last system predates any backwards compatibility (Wii, PS2) which system should one purchase?

So no thoughts on PS5 or Xbox?AppStFan1 wrote: ↑Sat Jul 06, 2024 11:57 amPS6 or Xbox X Series. I have not heard of any talk regarding the baseball or basketball games. I have the Gamecube version of the NCAA basketball game and purchased a PS2 second-hand the week they finally stopped selling the PS2 in Japan so I could grab a copy of the NCAA baseball game. Both are fun for what they are. But I also understand the need for demand. And just like TV ratings I am sure football is THE driving force compared to other college sports. In the two mentioned cases I purchased both well after they were on the market so the systems were much cheaper. I am not sure I want to wait this time around.

I was under impression that the Xbox won't play the CFB game. I have never played PS5 but if you are getting a console you might as well get the newest you can so it will be compatible with newer games a lot longer. Unless you are just buying to play this year's game and don't plan on buying new games over the next several years.McLeansvilleAppFan wrote: ↑Sat Jul 06, 2024 12:51 pmSo no thoughts on PS5 or Xbox?AppStFan1 wrote: ↑Sat Jul 06, 2024 11:57 amPS6 or Xbox X Series. I bought NCAA basketball game when it was last out but I have heard some say that it does not have nearly the distribution as football so they probably won't do one this time. For the record, if they made one I would buy it.

Re: New EA Sports NCAAF Release Trailer Features App St
According to the Wikipedia page for the game, PS5, Xbox X/S are the two platforms. I would get a Switch if they would put the game on that platform. The Wii version had graphics that were not so great but they worked good enough for me.
I grew up on the Atari VCS, so I can live with a bit less than PS5 if the gameplay is there.
Thanks for the advice.
