Is the last two to three weeks' discussion the most negative of all the threads on this Forum or the old Delphi Forum in memory.
IMOP, it came close back in the days when most posters wanted JM to step down or Laney to be fired. But these few weeks have topped them all. Just my opinion. Want to know what others think. Not asking whether or not these negative threads are justified.
We are in need of someone to take over the maintenance of the MMB. Yosef has done it for a long time, and we are grateful for all he has done, but life happens and he no longer has the time to devote to its upkeep. If anyone here is interested in helping to keep the board running, please let me know via DM.

Re: Question...Yes or No
In raw numbers I imagine it is worse now but we have better and easier access to the internet to make the comments. Back in 2004 the internet mostly at home, but now we can make comments in real time on a phone after each play.
We have more alumni and more students enrolled so it will be easier to find people to make comments.
And these comments tend to feed off each other, and every one wants to bitch and complain and try and one up each other in their misery.
And the bar has been lifted due to our success of the last 19 years. Since we are higher the fall is even farther and as we have more time falling we have more time to complain.
So it may be worse now in raw numbers, but there are so many variables and ways to measure it may or may not be worse in terms of percentages of engaged fans.

This is my very generic signature added to each post.

To me, there are a select few that seem to get off on gaslighting people and rile it all up. The same people will always have something to complain about.
I've just put them all on ignore and it's not too bad. Pretty easy to see who they are.

Re: Question...Yes or No
I remember in the early ‘80s car bumper stickers in Boone ‘WORKING AINT WORKING’ in reference to head coach Mike Working just before he was let go and Mack Brown was hired. Technology has come a long way. The good and bad. Yes, I believe things are worst today with how individuals can use the internet to be critical and hide behind unidentifiable user names.NewApp wrote: ↑Sun Sep 22, 2024 7:45 pmIs the last two to three weeks' discussion the most negative of all the threads on this Forum or the old Delphi Forum in memory.
