UGA game televised in Atlanta on the local ABC affiliate

The UGA game will be televised on the local ABC affiliate here in Atlanta. They have been promoting the game this weekend which is UGA's Homecoming. They even pronounce Appalachian correctly. Although I plan to be in attendance, its nice to see our name and Block A mentioned on the local news and sports shows.

We were camping at Stone Mountain, GA back in the early days of our venture into the SoCon on the weekend of our playing Furman in football. Lo and behold, there was a write-up and box score Sunday morning in the Atlanta Constitution from the game. Got home to NC and the Sunday Charlotte Observer didn't even have the score. Just sayin'.

The Atlanta Journal Constitution newspaper no doubt has a liberal slant but their sports department is first rate and one of the best I've experienced on a day-to-day basis. They are even making an effort at balanced reporting. They will cover the App/UGA game well. I can't wait to read the heading on Sunday:

"Mountaineers Maul Dawgs"

If that happens sales at Atlanta area WalMart apparel departments will go down 55%.
