It's our comedy for the day...mike87 wrote: ↑Fri Oct 10, 2025 2:02 pmWhen you get older you'll realize that we really don't care. App has unparalleled culture, but the downside is you have loads of extremely passionate people who have very specific concepts of what those traditions are, and who feel compelled to demand compliance with their specific iteration, even down to the color shirt another man chooses to wear to the game. Some older people act like "Roll Neers" is an afront to their religion.
I'm not wearing yellow because I know what color shirts I like to wear and I don't want to spend $50-100 on a single use shirt. All y'all who want to wear yellow, have at it. I think it's a cool idea. Whatever. Go Apps and Roll Neers.

For this particular issue, I’d say being an App fan (of any age group) has more of a correlation with being whiney and entitled, than being “old.”
Riley is what, like 28 or something?

I just assumed no one under 40 would ever become a new member here. I’d say we are looked down upon by anyone under 50 it seems.

Oooh, you just hit the best idea!!! We can all dress like colors of fall foilage. The stands will match the surroundings. Totally a Boone thing, instead of copying every other program.AppSmitty wrote: ↑Fri Oct 10, 2025 12:33 pmI for one am excited for the Gold Out and think it’ll look pretty neat seeing all the fans with the fall foliage in the background. Complacency is boring sometimes, so it’s always nice to spice it up a little bit and take advantage of our beautiful second color.

That’s cool! We’ll call it a Fall-Out…wait…maybe that doesn’t work as well as I thought it would.WASU 93 wrote: ↑Fri Oct 10, 2025 5:46 pmOooh, you just hit the best idea!!! This times 1000! People often complain about the lack of tradition and yet we seem to intentionally go and hide from our biggest one since Jerry Moore got here. Home games will always be a Black Saturday for me.

They did but a lot of folks in stands have forgotten to point to correct end zone!AppinVA wrote: ↑Sat Oct 11, 2025 2:00 pmI heard it several times last week.Apptiger wrote: ↑Sat Oct 11, 2025 1:36 pmHave they quit doing bugler's dream?
