So, 17 in portal. Maybe 2 or 3 we go "damn, hate to see it". Not to say these guys could not develop or been good for depth.

I’m seeing a word that doesn’t exist in college football anymore- depth. Most players have little desire to exist down a depth chart and to be “depth”. Honestly I always thought it had to be really hard for a player to bust his tail for 4-5 years and barely (some never) play. Obviously nothing is guaranteed and the value of a free ride used to mean something to many but still, not every player wants to be Rudy. Portal taketh and the Portal giveth.

I'm beginning to think that either the school PR person is writing these post for these guys or they are just using AI to generate them. All say the same things all while saying ZERO.

Ouch again.

Ummm…. we lost our starting 3 DTackles in 2 days.
Our best position group disappeared overnight. I seriously don't think we have a DT on the roster now.

This bowl game going to be bad.

GaSo had their top 7 DL out against us and had no issues with us.

Yeah…starting to get really worried about DT. Not just for the bowl game, but going forward. Seems like we could throw some resources at one of these dudes to keep at least one to build around.

Definity AI generated - Asked Copilot to draft a sappy over the top post to announce my entrance into the portal while thanking my coach, teammates, and fans:

With a heart overflowing, I’m announcing my intention to enter the transfer portal with two years of eligibility remaining.

To my coach: thank you for believing in me when it was hardest, for pushing me past who I thought I could be, and for teaching me how to lead—with humility, courage, and relentless love for the game.

To my teammates: you didn’t just share a locker room—you became family. We bled, laughed, cried, and grew together. Every early morning, every late night, every rep and every huddle stitched us together. I carry your voices in my head and your brotherhood in my heart.

To the fans: you are the soul of this place. Your cheers felt like home, your faith carried me when doubts got loud, and your energy made every moment bigger than football. Thank you for letting me play for a place I truly love.

This program changed me. I am proud—proud of the jersey I wore, proud of the standard we chased, proud of the person this journey helped me become. These memories aren’t a chapter closing; they’re a lighthouse I’ll look back on for the rest of my life.

With gratitude and respect, I’m ready for the next step. Thank you for everything. Forever grateful. Forever proud. 💛🙏 #TransferPortal
