I liked the Delphi board just fine. It amazes me how quickly things change. When I started in accounting, we had ledger books and tons and tons of paper and adding machine tape. Now I work in an office with no file cabinets and dual monitors at every workstation. Our whole office used less than two cases of paper during tax season this year (largely because NC doesn't support electronic filing except for individuals)! I imagine folks will eventually make their way over here. Especially for folks who don't work at a computer all day, any forum format change takes a little effort to manage. Just keep talking to folks about the board when you have a chance; they'll come visit.

I had a hilarious response to your post typed and was proofreading it and our power went out. I am so mad right now I can't stand it. Oh well, I'll try to hit the highlights and hope you'll take it in the way it was intended. Yes, it is a joke.
Living in a battleground state, I have been subjected to all kinds of political ads and have learned from them and a little Rickles mixed in.
So, lets disassemble your last post.
"I'm an old head" - REALLY? - you're old and smoke pot, how is that our business?
"I have never "chatted" about anything" - Your post count on the MMB might make one question the veracity of that remark. That aside I bet you are a blast at parties.

Seriously, the chat helps us old farts that live a long way away and don't travel much anymore to stay connected. Its also how I found the MMB. There used to be a chat on what was to become Goasu.com someone in there asked why I wasn't on the MMB. I asked what that was.... At some point something happened the university didn't like or got afraid of and the in game chat/bulletin board over there got shut down. When I first moved down here I had to call the local newspaper to get them to read me the wire reports and to get scores. Those guys hated me. A whole 17 or so years later, we have come a long way.
By the way, those other Mountaineers looked pretty good last night.
OK - What I was trying to say and never came close to making myself clear is this - I'm not interested in watching/listening to the Mountaineers and typing at the same time minute by minute or whatever --- I'll join in the discussion once I have turned off the radio or tv or laptop - so I guess I don't really "chat", I "post" - make any sense to anyone? --- Didn't think so

Agree with you. Not sure if we are getting apathetic, disinterested or if it everyone just hasn;t found the new board yet. But even the game chat was light today. Not many in there. I thought maybe becasue of homecoming as home games are usually not that active.
There were only four of us in the chat today and one of those was a Western Illinois Leatherneck.
Appstate94, McleansvilleAppfan , the leatherneck and myself. 94 and I are in Florida, McLeansville had to work today.
Was everyone else at the game?
I was at the game.

No worries, and no offense meant. I had just come back to my computer after having watched the Panthers game and was in a pretty bad mood!

Maybe some folks are so hell-bent on new-technology, they don't mind that a good number of folks that added to the old board are no longer here. Personally, I don't care what we use just wish it was like before in the number of folks participating.

We seem to have lost a lot of other schools fans, which can be good if they are trolling, but some were respectful and realized they were visitors in our house. I don't remember one WCU post on here that I have read, but they are in a position that even their own board at Delphi is not very active at present. Though that is situation all unto itself.
This is my very generic signature added to each post.
