Re: Crowd Noise
I love going to metal shows and my ears are ringing just as bad today. Section 203 was loud and proud last night! Great APP-STATE cheers and constant screaming everyone gaso offense was on the field. I have hardly any voice today. Such an epic night!

Section 111 was loud and proud! My 4 yr old kept putting his hands over his ears while yelling when we were on D because it was so loud.
The student section was as good as I've ever seen! Way to represent students!!!

Re: Crowd Noise
As a long time App fan (longer than I care to remember) I have been there for most of the playoff games in our history, I can unequivocally say that the crowd last night was every bit like a playoff crowd. It was really great to be there. It was also nice for the team to experience "the way it used to be." Kudos for everyone who came!!!!!!! And yes, I'm very hoarse today.

Re: Crowd Noise
One thing we need to get back to is the flags on poles waiving around. There used to be 4 or 5 over in student section. I saw one for sure and maybe a second. Heck Ill buy the flags for them to use!

Re: Crowd Noise
Agreed. Kudos to our awesome students and everyone who did what it took to be there! We can't let up now. Make arrangements now to do it again for Troy, Ark. State, and UL. We need to wrap it up before the USA road game. Go App!

Re: Crowd Noise
I'm watching the game on tv after having been there last night. You can hear crowd noise volume adjustments throughout the game, especially during "bullsh*t!" chants. It was loud, for sure. That noise wasn't translated well to the televised event.

Re: Crowd Noise
These crop of students could use a course in CLASS. End zone folks were chanting 'f@#k you Southern' all game. Hope it didn't make TV.NoLongerLurking wrote:I'm watching the game on tv after having been there last night. Re: Crowd Noise
I'm a bit biased because I am currently an App State student, but it was solely because it was southern. Southern has been Sh*t talking us all week on various social media apps (yik yak), and we would never do that to any other team but Southern.ASU-FTW wrote:These crop of students could use a course in CLASS. Also, in the main student section, we chanted that once, but that's all.

Re: Crowd Noise
I sit on the App! side at about the 50 on row GGG. Last night was the first night in what seems like forever that the App-State cheer was full throttle.
The students were nothing short of amazing! They came in droves and stayed. I was proud of them for not flooding the field after the game when told not to. I was also proud of the players for coming over to acknowledge the students after the game. Last night was a real team effort - players, coaches, and fans.

Re: Crowd Noise
Watching the highlights on appstatesports you can see younger children covering their ears to shield from the noise at points.
It would've been nice if ESPNU could've captured the sound of the crowd better. Maybe it'll be better vs Arkansas State.

Re: Crowd Noise
I heard an f bomb on espnu at one point. It may be the noise is purposefully not coming through because while it is loud, it's not loud enough to cover profanity from a section of folks.ASU-FTW wrote:These crop of students could use a course in CLASS.
