I hate it being rightAppinVA wrote:BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!AppOrange wrote:I don't like this one. Similar teams . . . one who has won consistently at this level and one who is having a special season and very solid in many areas. Too many injuries on our O-line, it seems like we are one injury away from a real crisis. Not sure we will be able to keep up with them scoring wise tonight, the defense is going to have to contain the edges and tackle extremely well for us to have a chance. If we can build a good lead early, while our O-Line is fresh, that would be great, but if its tight in the 3rd, I see some serious 3 and outs while they will be able to continue to move the ball.

I did the same two weeks ago to a similar post. Hope it works again.

I hate you being right, too. At least you have the consolation of being right. What do I got?

I may have been right above, but lots of guys on different threads were talking about how paper thin our line was after Nunn went out, no one really to come in. I really don't understand why everyone is saying Nunn is questionable when he has had season ending surgery like many have stated. Maybe trying to hide our true lack of depth?

Who cares....lets work on getting the guys who can help this team healthy and move forward. It's one loss against a good team. Tonight was not ideal, but we'll be fine. #AppNation

One loss which easily could have been our second in a row. Troy and Ark State have given our remaining opponents nice games film to study.

"Who cares", I care, that's why it's a chat board, to talk about it and figure things out. If the average fan listens to the blow hard commentators, they will think we came out and played uninspired offense, when really, we are just very hurt and playing guys that are not quite ready. That matters to me, understanding what is going on. I heard people yelling in the stands about TL not doing things, well, why is that? Because his line is decimated, he's not getting time and the snaps are all at his ankles due to dudes playing out of position. I care about that and I think it's important to know.

Who cares isn't the best verbage, however, we have been killed by injury but that's part of the game. I'm not making excuses....lets win, bottom line.

Physically and stylistically, though, I think this is a good matchup for us. This isn't a power running, vertical passing team, which is the kind that have given us some problems. They'll try to get the ball to their playmakers in space. I think our defense is built to stop teams like that. And on the other side, their defense doesn't really stop anybody; they just try to create enough turnovers to win a shootout. Don't think that's a good plan against App, either.
