That's actually not a reference to y'all, but an inside GS joke/historical lament . . . . as it was a need stated post-hire by both of the two worst coaches in our history. They both changed our culture -- from winning to losing.

Re: New Head Coach - Eliah Drinkwitz
this is entertaining....GS fans mostly think we made an underwhelming hire. My favorite line is "Very underwhelming hire. Not Summers-level underwhelming, but close." A southern education apparently means that your research/analysis skills involve looking on the surface of what a coach did with one...

Re: Georgia Southern Cancels Christmas Theater Play
I heard App had to cancel theirs as well . . . someone suggested using goats in place of sheep and the shepherds eloped with them.

Re: Early: possible replacements?
Has anyone heard anything about Horton? Has an interview been scheduled? DG has been pretty quiet on the process but I am sure that he is working on it. If our experience is any indication, I’d expect to be frustrated by a lack of official information being put out, and expect a lot of effort in ma...

Since you guys are new at this, I'm going to share something to keep you buzzing as your coaching search hits high gear: https://flightaware.com/ You don't know coaching search drama until you start tracking chartered flights out of obscure airstrips and connecting imaginary dots to the guys on your...

Re: Sour Grapes From Statesboro
Strong case for Lunsford and Satt. I wouldn't have been upset either way, but of course, glad that Satt won it. Agreed --strong cases for each, but entirely different cases, IMO. I don't think there's any doubt that Satterfield, with his greater experience, is the better head coach of the two at th...

Re: Sour Grapes From Statesboro
This is only my second post -- came to offer some friendly insights on the coaching carousel on another thread, but this one looks like a topic I can't refuse . . . I think the problem with awards like this is that they are poorly defined: What does the "Coach of the Year" represent, and what shoul...

Re: Sour Grapes From Statesboro
No coach who lost two conference games and finished third in the division should be considered COTY. Lunsford isn't even the second most worthy COTY candidate in the East. I sounds to me like the title is being "poorly defined"....retroactively by a fanbase whose team blew it late in the season, wa...

Re: Scott Gone
Does anyone know what's going to happen with his buyout? I could be wrong, but it looks like we get 450k-ish from Louisville if he gets Gilligan's permission to go and 1.2mil-ish if he does not. Seems like an opportunity grant permission and to schedule 3 games at Louisville for guarantee of 3.5mil...

Re: Scott Gone
Hey, guys. Greetings from gnatland. I just registered on here but have lurked on occasion - usually just prior to our annual get togethers. Don't expect any trash talk from me - I'll leave that to those who enjoy such sport. I'm one who subscribes to a model of mutual respect between our programs. I...
