I could never imagine myself going to an opponent's message board and posting anything. I've barely ever tried to look at one period. I think the only time was after the SC game. Was just curious how enraged they got.

Wow, some of you guys have a huge inferiority complex. Went to all three games and had good interaction with UNC fans after every game. And for the record I don’t like UNC Chapel Hill at all. I’m an anybody but UNC person. I’ll say thanks for the respectful post and I sure hope we get to play again in the very near future.

Just like ours. A group of our “grow up” fans left a big pile of garbage in the parking lot. Wrong period but even worse when they were 30 yards from a mostly empty dumpster. And then there are the young guys shouting f##k UNC after the game as parents passed by with their young kids. Good bad and otherwise everywhere you go.

I used to be a little jealous of what UNC has but man it has to be frustrating as a player, coach or AD to watch fans leave with 3 minutes left in a tied game and a mass exodus of UNC fans. I was in Section 125 surrounded by UNC fans and they got up and left with 3 minutes left in regulation. The fans that were left said it was very normal.

P.S. I think it is why I get so upset about App raising prices. I don't want to celebrate football with empty chairs. I like our crowd. I like our lunch pail crowds.

I've have no ill will toward the OC. Sometimes condescending comments are not understood to be so by the speaker . However they may not have intended condescension (I don't believe they did) but it is received as such as I do. Riddle me this, would the OC have come here and made compliments if UNC had lost this second game as well? I bet not .

While in theory it's not the end of the world at the same time as a fan of the team who lost I can do without it. That's not sour grapes or being jerky it's just saying most can do without the atta boy comment.

UNC feels entitled because they operated a fraudulent academic department for 17 years that kept football and basketball players eligible.

They weren't punished by the NCAA because UNC's argument that the sham classes were open to all students was deemed persuasive.

Louisville was sanctioned by the NCAA some years ago in part because prostitutes were made available to its athletes. They should have followed the UNC model and made the prostitutes available to all students.

Seriously, this holier than thou crap is old. UNC has not proven themselves to be a better program, or a better school, than App State.

Also, that Maye/Hampton backfield is something to watch out for! Such great little guys you have there for a little small ol' UNC program.

I find this perception UNC holds of ECU and App quite funny. App gets 40,000 to Boone, could maybe do 48,000 for UNC, ECU, NCSU, and maybe Wake. ECU has had 50,000+ games before in Greenville. UNC is lucky to get 48,000 in the stands in Chapel Hill. This "gulf" is non-existent.

I didn't claim to know anything here. What I said was that the perception of the average UNC fan toward App and ECU, the two major G5 programs in the state, does not align with reality. UNC may as well be an NFL team, in comparison, in their minds, and their minds only.

When is the last time UNC had a Top 10 win, a Top 5 win? Of they are so much bigger of a program, why are they getting 7 to 8k more fans a game than App, against similar opponents? And if they are so much better, why did it take having Drake Maye in two game to win by a combined 8 points?

What I'm trying to do is point out why this "golly gee whilligers, you guys are good for little ol' App State, with an enrollment of 24,000 students who gets 40,000+ to football games" is ridiculous.
