One of you geniuses please provide a few realistic examples of college football teams who were really good, went through massive coaching changes, dipped in performance then fired the head coach, hired yet another one then returned to the perceived prior level. I'll wait for examples and the long list.

Clemson- when was this? - Tommy Bowden era, got rid of him, brought in Sweeny and the rest is history.
Michigan- how badly did they dip? - They lost to an FCS team, spent several years in the wilderness before making it to the FBS playoffs
LSU - Les Miles wore thin on the fan base there at the end.
UCF - Went from 0-12 to 13-0 in two seasons
Notre Dame- same as Michigan above - Tyrone Willingham years
Florida State- I'll give you this one
Kansas State- were they really good? - They've been consistently in the AP top 25...it took dragging Bill Snyder out of retirement to do it but they righted the ship.

They both never missed a bowl or got absolutely blown out in a bowl either. Or even lost a bowl.

Louisville sucked and now they are good. Cincinnati was good and now they suck. Dink is 17-19 last 4 years. Why are they in this conversation?

Drink was 17-19 his first three years at Mizzou but they are currently 5-0 and up two touchdowns on LSU.

I was about to say the same thing. Drink also has the tough part of his schedule coming up. Their 5-0 record is against bad competition. I will be curious to see how they do with Kentucky, SC, Georgia, Tenn, Florida, and Arkansas. Coming in to this year I was expecting 6-6 or 7-5 for Missouri and I think there is a good chance they still go 7-5.

Looks like they have done pretty well. 3-1 against teams mentioned in this post. And already at eight wins with two games and a bowl left. Not too shabby.

They have definitely won a game a couple games I expected them to lose. Should go 10-2 based on who they have left now.

Mizzou hung tough with UGA and then smacked the Vols around. I fully expect Missouri to hand Billy’s boys yet another loss then skull drag the Hogs on their way to a NY6 bowl game.

Also, since many App fans hate both Drink & Lavender Billy, it could be fun to watch UF/Missouri.

I started to post these exact words Saturday after watching the Missouri game. It is so much fun to watch that offense. This got me thinking though, and I cant find the answer. Satterfield ran the same offense at Louisville and kind of "failed with it" but not at App. Why was it working at App but not at Louisville and why is it working at App and Missouri for Drink??? What is making the difference...Is it just execution by the players??
