Just how much rebuilding does it take to solve 94 yards in penalties? ( plus the ones that were declined) How many NFL coaches does it take to solve those 94 yards. How much nil does it take? Just askin for a friend.

Hard to solve for 7 years of poor recruiting in 7 weeks.

That is the weakest excuse for penalties I have ever heard, but not at all unexpected.

This fan base is actually insufferable at times. Figure out what the **** you want. We fired a coach in December, which was the right decision. But with that decision, comes inevitable rebuilding. We have 60 new players and lost what top end talent we did have to the portal. We do not have the depth or talent to compete with Boise State right now. Thats just the cold hard truth. This team was patched together in January and I’m not giving up on anyone just yet.

Most of the folks posting on this thread right now are the least knowledgeable, loudest, and most miserable members of the “fan” base. Evidently, none of these folks remember Satterfield’s first two seasons.

Don't use too broad of a brush. Some of us actually understand the game quite well and haven't forgotten the for sale signs in Satts yard.

We closed the score to 27-14 wirh 10:40 left in the 3rd quarter and didn’t get another first down the rest of the game and turned the ball over three times. That is the most inept period in the history of App State offensive football. As an educated fan who made the trip, that is unacceptable and embarrassing.

I get he’s dinged up but he is not leading this team at the moment. Defense is a mess. As was echoed by others. Boise was favored to win but this was reminiscent of when we played Wyoming years ago as an fcs team. I’m disheartened . I will say. Boise does it right. Great fans great environment. Was refreshing to not hear a terrible hip hop

I certainly remember Satterfields first 2 seasons. I remember losing to Liberty when they sucked.

It’s very strange to read these comments that anybody who thinks we are in a bad spot is uneducated about football. Yes, correct, we’re turning over a lot, but I think anybody who isn’t upset is massively underestimating that this is our new normal. Maybe I’m uneducated though.

You can’t call it the new normal when it’s been happening for a few seasons. I realize it is unpopular to talk about the past right now, but it’s hard not to with responses like this. We lost 48-14 to a bottom feeder team last season. We lost by 4 scores in the Sun belt championship game in 2023. We lost 41-13 in 2021. It’s been happening for a while.

Nah, not dumb at all. It's a cool tradition and one the team should still be doing. Things like that, no matter how trivial seeming, matter.

As for the energy - it's not surprising. We have what is essentially a team of journeymen who could be playing for Anywhere U with a Block Whatever on the helmet. That will probably be the case next year when half, or more, of them are gone.

Boise is closer to a P4 Big 10 school than they are to us. They went toe to toe with Oregon and Penn state last season for the record. Everyone’s expectation were skewed because they had a terrible week 1 against a very good USF team, who is also closer to a P4 SEC school than us (as evident by them beating Florida).

This loss has nothing to do with the past. We have a new staff and 53 new players, barely any starters even know the past staff. No need to discuss the past anymore, it wasn't up to snuff so we moved on. But the present sure as **** isn't up to snuff either. Hopefully we get better but the product thus far has not been good at all, despite the 93 years of NFL coaching experience.

Boise flipped a switch that we are not capable of and finished the game on a 23-0 run. They are a great team. We are not. It’s not rocket science.
