Does the brand even matter anymore?
It does if people want to keep jockeying for position when realignment comes. Otherwise you may get your wish and we will basically be FCS.

I’m honestly just sad. We used to be a team that competed every game. No matter what, we competed. Now, it’s just a waiting game to see how long it takes for the other team to run away.

I don’t think we have the right QB, he doesn’t care enough. smiling down 30 is not a good look. Care a bit more. We’re not even mediocre, we’re the bottom 1/3rd of FBS 3 years after being in the top
25. Dowell doesn’t seem to give a shit either. It’s just sad.

Logains experiment is over. App State is over. It was a blast guys.
This fan base is actually insufferable at times. Figure out what the **** you want. We fired a coach in December, which was the right decision. But with that decision, comes inevitable rebuilding. We have 60 new players and lost what top end talent we did have to the portal. We do not have the depth or talent to compete with Boise State right now. Thats just the cold hard truth. This team was patched together in January and I’m not giving up on anyone just yet.

Yeah I’m giving them this year and next year. Some coaches do come in and dominate from the get go. Some take some time.

Timing just sucks because the ACC implosion could happen any minute

I certainly don’t want it to be, but the sideline is dead, there is 0 improvement week over week, and I don’t see us competing with anyone. I hope I’m wrong. We shouldn’t get blown out by a G6 who we are constantly compared with. I didn’t intend to be insufferable.

Appalachian is my team, my school, and my degree is still as good as it ever was if not better than it has ever been. We have only lost one SBC game.

The season is not over...

Less than the embarrassing losses on national TV last year. This is FS1.
Dont think for a minute that the Boise is Back mantra won't be all over ESPN tomorrow. Guess who will be in the highlights getting smoked.

Most of the folks posting on this thread right now are the least knowledgeable, loudest, and most miserable members of the “fan” base. Evidently, none of these folks remember Satterfield’s first two seasons.

Whatever happens in regards to realignment will have nothing to do with what a scoreboard says. If that were the case, UNCC would be in the CAA.

Asinine statement from you on your high horse.

Btw, the moment the fan base becomes quiet is when you should worry. And it’s coming

Don't use too broad of a brush. Some of us actually understand the game quite well and haven't forgotten the for sale signs in Satts yard.

Are we really arguing that it’s ok to lose by 5 touchdowns to a peer school?

I certainly remember Satterfields first 2 seasons. I remember losing to Liberty when they sucked.

It’s very strange to read these comments that anybody who thinks we are in a bad spot is uneducated about football. Yes, correct, we’re turning over a lot, but I think anybody who isn’t upset is massively underestimating that this is our new normal. Maybe I’m uneducated though.

I agree, I thought we would be 2-2 as well, but I didn't see us losing as convincingly as we did in either of the two games we lost. Just so undisciplined and inefficient overall.

Just how much rebuilding does it take to solve 94 yards in penalties? ( plus the ones that were declined) How many NFL coaches does it take to solve those 94 yards. How much nil does it take? Just askin for a friend.

I think coaches that come in and dominate are current HCs. They can bring their staff and many players. When you have to build a staff and then build a team in just a few weeks, it’s a Daunting task. We have some talent but just not enough to be a top end team. That is okay to me, but there has to be progress through the year as well.

Hard to solve for 7 years of poor recruiting in 7 weeks.
