Granted, A.J. Howard's performance against Miami was memorable for the wrong reasons. But if we're being honest, he's having a pretty darn good season this year.
No he hasn't. Have you not been reading this an other threads if this ilk? He sucks, they all suck. We have regressed as a team and the recruits are garbage because they aren't as good as the three and four year starter that they are replacing.

A.J. Howard has helped us win a lot of games and he wasn't the reason we lost to Miami...players, even in the NFL, miss tackles from time to time.

Here is a great example of bad tackling technique. Last year against Miami, on the first offensive play from scrimmage, it wasn't a bad angle when AJ Howard directly hit RB Walton with his shoulder at line of scrimmage at a good angle and then failed to wrap him up. Walton basically bounced off him and ran untouched for 80 yards for a TD. This is not an anomaly for Howard. Howard has consistently done this throughout his tenure at App, hitting guys even low but seems to never wrap them up, thinking his hit alone will bring them down. Sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't. How does the guy never FIX his technique? Why do the coaches not FIX it?

Watch first play highlight at Howard's great tackling technique.

In fact, watch some more of the video and you will see other poor tackling later in game, and a face mask penalty while we are at it. So don't tell me this stuff is new for this season. We have been watching some of this for years.
And yet it only gets brought up when we lose.
Not sure where you get that, i have been saying it for a while. But yes, the "we got the win so move on" crowd did not like any discussion around such unimportant details

A penalty that still wakes me up at night is when we hit the UGA QB OUT OF BOUNDS on a 3rd down play where we would have held them to three straight 3 and outs in 1st qtr. Not to mention hurting the QB which woke UGA up!
Of all the penalties we've had this year, I don't know why that one haunts you. Yeah, it was unfortunate but it was more of a push than a hit. Saying it "woke Georgia up" implies it was a motivator which it really wasn't. What it did do what introduce Fromm who (as it turns out) is a better QB than Eason. I don't think anybody expected that. Personally, I think Georgia should write App a big check for that one. I'm joking...but I really don't see why that penalty would stick in someone's mind (other than Eason's).
Because it took us out of the game early. We had show some ability to hang with UGA until then. The penalty changed the dynamic and the momentum of the game in UGA. And yes it did motivate them like the bad call against us in the UMASS game woke them up. These are intangible events in games that swing momentum.
