But it is, very actively. Teams are not immune to criticism and to say they are is small-time thinking.

My issue with them, and to be fair, some older people that post here and on Twitter as well, is that they like to complain about perceived problems without offering a solution.yosef69 wrote: ↑Mon Sep 13, 2021 9:19 amI am 25 and I see eye to eye with him most of the time. Re: Miami game thread
You are correct. But complaining about a problem without the facts is poor form. Case in point, and this is only an example of the behavior and not the individual. The young man that was upset with his treatment by the Boone PD took to Instagram to voice his frustration. I completely understand why he would feel that way in the moment. But only after seeing the full video and gaining an understanding of the full story, was he able to react responsibly.yosef69 wrote: ↑Mon Sep 13, 2021 9:26 amIt is not a fans job to solve problems within an athletic department.AppSt94 wrote: ↑Mon Sep 13, 2021 9:23 amMy issue with them, and to be fair, some older people that post here and on Twitter as well, is that they like to complain about perceived problems without offering a solution.yosef69 wrote: ↑Mon Sep 13, 2021 9:19 amI am 25 and I see eye to eye with him most of the time. As that relates to fans, calling out issues without an understanding of the whole picture is unproductive. I had a civil conversation with some of the administration this weekend about the ticketing fiasco. There was a recognition that it could have gone better and they learned from it. I’m not defending them, but after hearing some of the issues and situations that contributed to this, I can see why it happened and can say that they could have started earlier and still had issues.

They will come around in time. Let them have their fun.
I find it hard to believe you were all at the Algonquin Round table when you were in your early 20’s. Hell I’m still dumb now.
Glad I missed the bulk of the social media era as a college student. You should be too.

Before moving from the Miami topic, is this a fair analogy: For those wondering how we would fair this season if we were in the ACC, follow Miami and you'll get a fair assessment.

Re: Miami game thread
I find it hilarious when people say stuff like this. We’re on a message board discussing the game. If you can’t have an honest chat about what we/they believe happened then what are we even doing here. If chase or insert whatever player is that concerned about their performance then I’d recommend not going to fan message boards or search their name on Twitter. I do find it ridiculous to tweet at players like you know them but imo, it’s fair game to criticize on a fan board.LKN_Lawyer wrote: ↑Mon Sep 13, 2021 10:21 amI’m 34, so maybe I’m ancient in the eyes of 20 somethings, but I find the Twitter/message board/podcast “super fans” to be blowhards. Re: Miami game thread
I have to say that the telecast must not have done Chase any favors because in person I thought he played well. Hell, I think he outplayed his highly regarded counterpart King from the pocket. Yes he missed a few early throws but after that first series most of his throws were dead on the money. There were far more dropped passes that should have been caught than missed passes on the night. Honestly, I think if we abandon that running back rotation situation and go with the better runner in each game it would have made a whole lot more of a difference. We couldn't run to the outside all night long which isn't surprising considering even Bama couldn't get the edge on Miami, but we could get some runs with Cam between the tackles. Fact is we made too many mistakes on the night and it cost us, not any one particular mistake but the cumulative effect of all the mistakes. Although that being said, when we missed the snap on that punt and resulted in a safety I turned to my wife and said, "that's the ball game". Guess I have just seen too many App games to not recognized when we are not playing well enough to win. We don't have to be perfect to beat these type of teams anymore but we sure have to limit our mistakes.

We did see in Miami the fastest defensive team we will face this year. They did cover our guys well. We do need to correct the route running that end up short of needed 1st down yardage.
