I won’t pretend like I’m delighted with us today, but we did win, on the road, after a pretty rough 2 weeks of travel.

And while I’m not exactly jazzed with the coaching right now, I will say Clark seemed to get torched last week for dominating but not finding a way to win, then finds a way to win this week but gets cooked anyways.

Correct. Both results were unacceptable

Same energy if he misses that or do you then turn to it's the players fault and not the coaches?

"Clark isn't the one kicking the field goal"

That's all that would have been said had Hughes missed it and App lost.

This game never should have been close. Hard to accept we're only 1 point better than ULM.
And last week if he hits it and we are 3-1...some of the negativity would be absent....well, not for some, ...as it evidently rains in their world 24 hours and 7 days a week....one can "what if" all you want. It is 1-0 in the conference and we move on to the next one.

Well, a win is a win. I've been watching App State Football for almost twenty years. I've never seen more undisciplined and lack of preparation for a win. These next few weeks are crucial. I've given Clark every benefit of a doubt, but the next few weeks is where the rubber will meet the road.
Almost 20 years…that’s obvious. Because if it was 25 years then you would have said this was the second most undisciplined team behind the 1999 playoff team that got absolutely whooped by FAMU.

Sorry to everyone who lived through that debacle. It’s why I don’t drink Seagrams 7 anymore.
Rattlers run no huddle as we watched their WRs run past our defenders looking at our sideline for the play.

Only the 0-10 VMI loss with a SOCon title on the line tops that game.
It was so terrible. I’m absolutely positive we never watched film on them before that game. There were at least 10 plays where they snapped the ball and we had players looking to the sidelines, possibly more.

I do have to wonder if something like that happened tonight. I refuse to believe we’re just this behind on talent - we’ve had too many good performances leading up to tonight. I just think that we never expected them to throw the ball as much as they did, and then didn’t make adjustments to stop it.
Give 'em hell!

That’s not a good faith argument.

Last week was against a good team.

This week is against a horrible ULM team that will finish close to last in the belt.

Here’s the deal

We got incredibly lucky to beat a horrible team. And we won despite our bum coach.
Horrible? They beat Army, which isn't easy and Terry Bowden knows what he is doing, he went 11-0 in 1993 at Auburn
Monroe has lots of speed. anyone on this board been to Monroe,LA??

Clark is unfairly held to a different standard than the coaches before him or other coaches in other sports currently on that campus.

It's a shame how this fan base acts. Absolute shame.

Nah what’s a shame is how some people will compromise this programs standing because they feel tingly when thinking about the coach’s story.

Did you not see the Texas State game last year? We have actually been much more disciplined (less penalties) this year than in past years.

ULM isn’t horrible. They beat a decent Army team. And look we played poorly, 4 T/O is gross, but we still won. That’s what you want on the road. Resilience.

Again not delighted with the performance, but show me a great team and I’ll find you an ugly dud win they had against a mediocre team they maybe should have lost. Happens to the best of them.

If this was a one off I’d agree. But it’s not. It’s a theme. We play down to the duds of the league ever. Single. Time.

When’s the last time we beat a bad sun belt team like a drum?

Hahaha ok.

It's actually hard to find 3 more wins on this schedule. Let me know what it's like in Lala land.

I think this win kicked the can down the road by one week, at the end of the day.

Winning is winning -- Monroe had over a week to prep, their coaches get paid too. Clemson and Bama haven't always blown out ACC or SEC bottom feeders.

Tom Brown your Maiden hero didn't always dust everyone, go to Glen Oaks and have a beer tomorrow to celebrate, you may see me out there taking money from the locals.
