I’m still stewing from our season long 3rd Quarter impotence….IMO coaching errors cost us this one.

Yeah, we're not firing anybody. And that's fine by me, but I'd like to see more urgency and.. I don't know.. grit.. toughness?

JMU was going for it on 4th at the end without a care in the world. If they would have converted you think Cig takes a knee? Hell no, they're punching it in for a score.

That's the kind of thing I want to see. Not the easing off the throttle with a lead when there's half a game left. That's why they play 60 minutes. JMU brought the killer instinct and this team rolled over. 🤷
We all needed to read this. Thank you. Truth hurts.

Today was something I’ve never seen before at KBS.

And I hope to live the rest of my life and never see anything like it again.

If there is someone on this board who predicted we would go undefeated in conference play, please make yourself known - If most everyone would be honest I think most thought there was a pretty decent chance we would be 2-2 at this point -
We blew a 28-3 lead at home against JMU.

I’m with you on the record part but let’s not pretend this wasn’t an absolute disaster.

It might be just me - per my wife it usually is - however, it puzzles me that we have periods of time that we look really good and unstoppable and then we look lost. No consistency. I am not sure what we have at this time. Appears we have the players to win - just noting consistent from week to week.

Am I the only one that was still worried when we were up 28-3? We feel really volatile. When it’s good it’s really good, but likewise when it’s bad it’s awful.

Part of that is just college football and good opponents. But damn it just seems like we will never have a lead that’s safe.

I don’t do this often. But that punt interference cost the game in the end
I was thinking the exact same
One play does not cost you the game. Turnovers, poor coaching, and poor execution cost games.

I’ll admit I wasn’t worried, however, I knew we could not let them hang around or we could run into issues. I thought a blowout/statement was coming. At 28-17 is when I started to get worried and pissed.

I thought if we could get to 35 we might be okay. When we didn't score just before or after the half I was irritated, and when they got to 25 I knew we had lost all momentum and didn't think we could turn it around.

I'm 100% serious. Marshall and CCU were nice wins, as any wins are, but when they are surrounded by "red flag" losses and some "squeak bys".....you have to start asking questions. I'm a huge supporter of App and always will be. I love Clark as a man, but I've been concerned since last season.

The only criticism I’ve given of Coach Clark is that he coaches “safe.” We lost to ULL last year because Napier lives by “scared money don’t make money.” Clark lives by “better safe than sorry” which… isn’t how I would coach. But I’ve never coached football, so I don’t really claim to know much.

This is a bit of a “if my grandma had wheels she’d be a car” statement.

But without a 1/1000 miracle Hail Mary we would be 1-5 in our last 6.

Yeah. I am not sure he even was aware of what he really said. It's rough waters right now here in AppNation. I'll give him a pass.

Look at the scoreboards across the country today/last week. The divide is shrinking if you aren't named Georgia/Alabama/Ohio State.
