The 1000 yard streak is not an individual stat, it is an indication of a program of consistency running the ball and something that our team should take pride in. Doesn't matter who gets it, as long as someone does because it is a harbinger of success for us. When we have a 1000 yard back, the season is usually a good one. I am sure it is not a team goal at all, as winning the conference and a bowl are but I am equally sure the offensive line take great pride that for the past 10 years we are the only school in the NCAA FBS division that has been able to produce a 1000 yard back. I don't think Clark thinks of it at all nor should he. But, I am not Clark, I am a fan who wants to see Cam get his 1000+ yards because he is by far our best back and when he is in the game, good things happen for App. Hell, even the broadcasters realized that last night and it didn't take them long. Murray remarked about how different our team is when Cam is in the game and on the field. So yes, I want him to get his 100 next week and sit for the next 3 quarters while others get their shot.
We have multiple capable backs. I would be fine with losing the 1,000 yard rusher streak and replace it with a conference championship and bowl game win. Let Cam and Nate rest against Robert Morris and have them as close to 100% as possible for the Coastal, Marshall, ODU, GSU gauntlet that will actually impact the results of our season, not just a meaningless stat

I would much rather win a conference title also, I just happen to believe that our best way to do that is to ride Cam, and if we do he will get his yards. Our offense just moves better when he is in the game, and anyone who doubts that just go back and look at our loses. We are not just going to not play our starters, nobody does that (just watch any SEC against FCS team and see if the starters don't play) . We will play them most of the first half and have our backups in after that.
I totally agree. We do need to ride Cam and our offense flows better with him in the game, but putting him in a game against a meaningless FCS opponent just to "get his 100" while risking injury for games that really matter is an unnecessary risk just to chase a stat
Cam is a player, and he only has five or six more opportunities remaining to give his ALL. Sure, let him play a little and rest him for the short following week, but allow him to do what he does.
Exactly! He’s put the work in for 5 years, gone through the rehabs, etc. if he wants to run the ball let him do it. But, it should be a light load, then let the reserves play.

Definitely tickets sold...not fannies in seats from my view from the confines of my living room...but we will take it. Looks good on paper 😂

Biggest Tuesday/Wednesday regular-season home draws in all of college football in the last decade:

1. App State-Georgia State, 2022 (31,757)
2. App State-Coastal, 2021 (31,061)
3. UCF-SMU, 2022 (27,495)
4. Troy-South Alabama, 2017 (25,211)
While I like that we show up, hope the ESPN execs don't see this as a good reason to keep playing us on mid week nights. I get we are going to have one or so per season but now that the Sun Belt is large enough, we shouldn't have to play multiple mid week games.
I think the mothership only cares about eyeballs on tv screens so advertising sales go up..😂

Don't overlook Tucker's kick off return that kept the momentum squarely on our side.

Teams that perform well the year before typically get the mid-week games, but more often than not only get one of those at home.

I hope we host one Wednesday or Thursday game each year, the alternative would be bad.

Seriously? Not even 3 minutes in and the complaining starts? Come on.
Complaining??? Observation..... You want to start out like that? Some of y'all need to chill with the holier than thou.
Complaining is your right as long as the mods don't step but only 3 minutes in? Geez.
