Beautiful… I’m right there with you big guy.Rekdiver wrote: ↑Sun Oct 01, 2023 6:35 pmOk…I’ve had time to calm down watch the game again and review the 5 games weve played. 3 of those games have been close.
Execution errors cost us both games. ULM last defensive stand masterful use of clock and saved timeouts plus kicking the field goal with 11:00 to go in the 4th put us in position to win. Execution by FG unit was solid and a 54 yd kick in a humid climate with room to spare was beyond exceptional.
All that despite FOUR turnovers. While I’m not sure about SC I do see he didn’t quit and coached to the end while a bunch of us including me did. 3-2 isn’t terrible for a team that is still growing. God only knows what my mindset will be after the Coastal game but right now “I’m not dead yet”

Yep. It was a gamble and it hit.biggie wrote: ↑Sun Oct 01, 2023 1:33 pmBelieve Clark said they had completely sold out. Weren’t covering any receivers.T-Dog wrote: ↑Sun Oct 01, 2023 1:30 pmLooking back at the ULM 4th down, it looks like it was going to be a fake handoff and quick pass to the tight end, who was in the process of getting wide open. However, by then the QB was already being sacked. The defense was able to swarm the backfield before it developed.

Re: ULM game broadcast
I will say this until I am blue in the face, winning a college football game in which you give up 4 turnovers is a very rare feat. This team did not quit and I haven't seen them quit all season. They play until the clock reads 0:00. Say what you will but that is a team that buys into their coaches system and hasn't quit on him or their teammates. This is a young team, hopefully that win goes a long way in teaching this team how to win those really close games instead of losing them.
