When you love something as much as we all love App, our emotions will always run high! I do it as well.Appgrad91 wrote: ↑Sat Sep 30, 2023 10:50 pmActually you didn't my bad as I let my emotions get the best of me. It really does not matter how this season plays or even the next. The reality is it makes no difference what Clark does. Those who don't like him as a head coach never will. Yet here we are demanding one side to be right over the other. I guess this board brings out the child in us all me included... Go Apps!ASUTodd wrote: ↑Sat Sep 30, 2023 10:37 pmWhen did I say that? Im glad we won..... Im on cloud nine! Hughes came through and Favors did his thing to help the win. What Im saying is that to win a game that we obviously were not prepared to win or made many changes to try and win.... just shows where the coaching is. Thats not wanting us to lose. I said it in another thread. I hope Clark rights the ship and we win every game from here on out and he gets a job with a P5 and makes bank.
We are in need of someone to take over the maintenance of the MMB. Yosef has done it for a long time, and we are grateful for all he has done, but life happens and he no longer has the time to devote to its upkeep. If anyone here is interested in helping to keep the board running, please let me know via DM.

Also agree with the decision, just trying to figure out the play call. I mean, I think he was trying to eliminate a fluke play but it flat out backfired on him.BeauFoster wrote: ↑Sat Sep 30, 2023 10:41 pmBlood probably flooded his brain, without a neck to regulate the flow his brain just didn’t know what to do when his heart rate got above 60.
But seriously I would have gone for it too. Probably not that play call, but I still agree with his call. If they’re stopped on the 2, it’s a different set of plays that App has to run.

Re: ULM game broadcast
4 more turnovers, still waiting on comments regarding whose fault that is. I am not an apologist or in the fire SC camp, I see a team capable, but also a team that can’t put a complete game together in all 3 phases. Good players, good staff, just some weird games. I will say this, I was in WYO last Saturday and got home from Denver last night after a work conference and I am beat. Couldn’t imagine flying somewhere else and playing another game. Every interview I hear with former players, they talk about how tough the long travel games are, and this is 2 in 7 days. Gutty win, ball security will go along way with this team.

I agree but I think the team got home Sunday. This team is all over the place including me. I Expect us to demolish coastal . Team needs these days off.AppOrange wrote: ↑Sat Sep 30, 2023 11:08 pm4 more turnovers, still waiting on comments regarding whose fault that is. You got to take a win no matter how you get it and be thankful. Get them while you can. Sure, there is much work to do with this team, but that is the case of every team. Ask any coach.
t4pizza, I like your optimism. It goes a long way. Pessimism never does. Somewhere back down the line, I believe you may have been a coach.

Ok, ok, ok. I’ve calmed a bit. I’ll turn to the wisdom of Shoresy and say, “they don’t ask how; they ask how many.” App is 1-0 in conference… so far…

Re: the original point. The broadcasters were fine, I've seen way worse in the Sun Belt. The camera work was meh, main camera was poor, sideline cameras were good.

Haha! Well, Clark’s goals have been in front of him for 3 years and he’s yet to attain them, so I’m not holding my breath.
However, escaping with a win does provide some hope for now.

Re: ULM game broadcast
Yes, Sunday, but then they had classes, practice, lifting, etc, then another long trip to play, now another long trip home super late. These 10 days couldn’t come at a better time. I watched the Coastal/GSU game and it was played at a very high level, I do not think we crush Coastal and we will be fortunate to pull one out. Stink looked very good as well. We need to take care of the ball and make a few more plays downfield on D.mountaineerman wrote: ↑Sat Sep 30, 2023 11:13 pmI agree but I think the team got home Sunday. Re: ULM game broadcast
Looking back at the ULM 4th down, it looks like it was going to be a fake handoff and quick pass to the tight end, who was in the process of getting wide open. However, by then the QB was already being sacked. The defense was able to swarm the backfield before it developed.

Believe Clark said they had completely sold out. Weren’t covering any receivers.T-Dog wrote: ↑Sun Oct 01, 2023 1:30 pmLooking back at the ULM 4th down, it looks like it was going to be a fake handoff and quick pass to the tight end, who was in the process of getting wide open. If you truly believe we have the talent to beat anyone you are hitting the sauce way too hard.yosef69 wrote: ↑Sat Sep 30, 2023 10:41 pmBro clark is a horrible coach and just squeaked out a win due to his kicker coming through like few college kickers ever had.
Hop off Clark’s jock and see the light. Our team has the talent to beat anyone and we beat the worst team in the league by a miracle

The travel, altitude changes and that ULM hasn't played since September 16th need to be considered in what we saw last night.mountaineerman wrote: ↑Sat Sep 30, 2023 11:13 pmI agree but I think the team got home Sunday. We also need to remember we get the "Appalachian Treatment" whenever we play in conference...SB teams want so badly to beat us and show they have progressed.

Re: ULM game broadcast
Ok…I’ve had time to calm down watch the game again and review the 5 games weve played. 3 of those games have been close.
Execution errors cost us both games. ULM last defensive stand masterful use of clock and saved timeouts plus kicking the field goal with 11:00 to go in the 4th put us in position to win. Execution by FG unit was solid and a 54 yd kick in a humid climate with room to spare was beyond exceptional.
All that despite FOUR turnovers. While I’m not sure about SC I do see he didn’t quit and coached to the end while a bunch of us including me did. 3-2 isn’t terrible for a team that is still growing. God only knows what my mindset will be after the Coastal game but right now “I’m not dead yet”
