Maybe the coaches don’t think that he is our best pitcher.

Well, if they think it's Harris, we're in worse shape than I thought.AppSt94 wrote: ↑Fri May 16, 2025 7:24 amMaybe the coaches don’t think that he is our best pitcher.

I mean, they have their rationale for doing what they do and they know the team better than anyone.BUTCH1991 wrote: ↑Fri May 16, 2025 7:55 amWell, if they think it's Harris, we're in worse shape than I thought.AppSt94 wrote: ↑Fri May 16, 2025 7:24 amMaybe the coaches don’t think that he is our best pitcher.

Top nine teams are all officially in the tournament.
JMU, ULM, USA are officially out. App State & Georgia State are battling it out for what could be the 10th and final seed.
App wins and they are in.
If Panthers sweep, they are in (hold tie breaker over USA & would then hold tie breaker over App).

Just like with football and basketball we have guys on here who have obviously chosen the wrong career paths. Should have absolutely become coaches. I’ll rant about how my teams perform but I will always believe that highly qualified coaches who are with their teams every day know who should be playing. If you don’t have your Jimmies and Joes it’s hard to win.

If everyone only discussed subjects they were one of the top 1000 in practice out of a nation of 300M this would be a dull world.
A couple of posters here have watched 10x the innings I have and have a great understanding of the game of baseball.
I appreciate the insights from the fans that obviously watch a tons of games, played a ton of games or a combination of both.

Re: 2025 Baseball Mega Thread
KS is a quality human being with success at pretty much everywhere he has been but I will say not all coaches (head coaches and assistants) at the college level are "highly" qualified. A lot of assistant coaches get hired because the HC trusts them. Doesn't make them qualified just means the HC doesn't want to hire outside their circle. My best coaches were in HS. They were teachers of the game. My college coaches except for JUCO were more "managers" than anything. Had a few good assistants but they were usually plucked by year's end for greener pastures. If coaches aren't moving up (especially D2 and above) chances are they aren't that special just my opinion. Now at the P5 level that's different because they can pay 2 or 3 assistant's well. This level (mid to lower D1) finding quality assistants on the salary they get let alone trying to pay 2 or 3 assistants is a difficult task.Bigdaddyg1 wrote: ↑Fri May 16, 2025 10:47 amJust like with football and basketball we have guys on here who have obviously chosen the wrong career paths. Not talking about the Mid Majors that produce quality ball - I'm talking about the 200 or so teams that have a hard time doing this.

WTH is happening?...my power is out so can't watch the game...I finally get live stats in my phone and we're down 5 to freaking 1 in the 2nd inning!! I mean it's so or die...where is the fight? I know we have been bad last several weeks...but my goodness we were decent earlier in the season...we have to win and it's like we are just going through the motions or something
