Waited too long to take out Hamilton… thought he should have taken him out the batter before HR…..
Yep, single then walk. Pull the dead arm! But gives up HR to break it open.
Really question the decision making.

Scored lots of runs and swinging it well. Arms can’t stop a nosebleed though. Late comeback?! 15-11 B8

Bummer. 3-2 count swinging strike with runners moving. Great effort, 1 pitch away from a win. Back at it again tomorrow for most likely a DH.

Way too many walks. We out hit them but gave out 11 free passes.

No question, all free passes walk and hit batters (like 3) kill you. The other place we got hurt was extra base hits. While we out hit them, they had 8 extra base hits to our 5…. I think they had 5 HRs….. this was a winnable game.

Very winnable game. Scored 15 runs. Starter had 100 pitches in the 6th and threw 1 strike I think before the 3 run HR. This is all from old head analytics.

You would think we could have gotten in position for a game winning field goal!

So far we have given up 86 earned runs with 73 base on balls and another 13 hit by pitch. Pitching staff has 18 wild pitches. It ain't rocket science. You put guys on and allow them to advance bases you make it easy for the opponent. Giving up hits and earned runs happens.

To be fair , the weather made it a wild and wooley affair .However good teams find a way to win , they did , we didn't.Today we get another opportunity.

Your comment, while correct that good teams find a way to win is correct; Also implies that we aren’t a good team. We lost by one and battled to have the winning run on base. So to me, it looks like we continued to scrap and claw back from a deficit and played until the in. Also the mark of a good team.

It wasn’t my intent to insinuate that you thought we were bad. Just that the comment did. I like that we compete. Yes there are a few people that feel that competing means winning or you aren’t competing. My point is that I feel that Kermit is a good coach and the kids that he brings in play to “the whistle”. That’s all you can ask and see what happens.

We are now dead last in ERA in the Belt and lead the conference in walks.

Pitching was always going to be the battle this year. Hopefully we can improve and get those walks down a little. Our transfers throw hard but are a little wild. How do we stack up at the plate? Would guess middle or top of the pack, we can swing it a little this year.

We do "compete" as I see it , seem to play with effort .Agree , you can compete and not win but the bottomline is winning .Especially in a contract year.

Our BA is about 30 pts higher. 8th in a 14 team league compared to 10th in a 12 team league.

Looks like Campbell starting where they left off yesterday with a 1st inning HR.

Gillespie starting where he left off! At least our offense is fun! High scoring games keep it interesting.
