Well, Northeastern just beat Duke…. mid weeks are weird. But that’s why we play the game. Anything can happen.

Re: 2023 Baseball Mega Thread
So again this is from 25 years ago (yikes I'm old) At my first school we had a large bubble (like APP) that we could practice and would get out IF the weather was above freezing. We had turf but it was like concrete. My second school was smaller much like northeastern. We had to have practice inside the field house most times after basketball M/W practices and softball. So sometimes we had practice at 9:00/10 at night then the wrap around at 5:45 the next morning. It was brutal up there. (Especially if we went out that night

Heck I remember seeing in Minnesota that colleges would play 24/7 at the old vikings dome so they could get games in. Not sure if it still happens

They played their first three at UNCG and have been in Florida ever since.

And that's the other problem...Florida - us yankees think we were acclimated to the southern sun - take off our shirts then end up with sun poisoning

I’m pretty sure that was more from the hops and barley oozing out of your pores more than being acclimated.Appmountaineers19 wrote: ↑Thu Mar 09, 2023 7:47 amAnd that's the other problem...Florida - us northers think we were acclamated to the southern sun - take off our shirts then end up with sun poisoning![]()

Sounds about like what we got during the Billy Jones days! McDonald's and beer.Appmountaineers19 wrote: ↑Thu Mar 09, 2023 8:31 amBack then we got $120 dollars total for the 10 days in Fl and yes most of it went to the oldest brewery in the USAAppSt94 wrote: ↑Thu Mar 09, 2023 8:16 amI’m pretty sure that was more from the hops and barley oozing out of your pores more than being acclimated.Appmountaineers19 wrote: ↑Thu Mar 09, 2023 7:47 amAnd that's the other problem...Florida - us northers think we were acclamated to the southern sun - take off our shirts then end up with sun poisoning![]()

Re: 2023 Baseball Mega Thread
I really don't know what they are going to do this weekend. Friday looks like a wash, Sunday definitely does, and Saturday is mid 40's with 20mph winds. Hope those guys have windbreakers, jackets, handwarmers and heaters in the dugout. Poor Caleb Cross behind the dish in freezing temps, I know that hurts catching 95 to the palm.
App State Hickory seems like best bet...again.

HUGE strikeout by Hamilton with bases loaded 3-2 count 4-4 heading to B4! It is extremely windy, jerseys and pants are flapping in the wind.

It’s so windy the camera in center field just blew over as Campbell hit an RBI double to take the 5-4 lead. Hang in there App!s!
