Saturday sightseeing/pregame thread
Thought I'd start a new one for anyone interested in reporting their plans/experiences for Saturday, or trying to meet up with other posters.
I'm planning to go by the Renaissance to get my ticket fairly early, then see some of the historical sites (Rosa Parks Museum, Civil Rights museum, Jefferson Davis house, maybe Hank Sr.'s gravesite if I have time). Probably grab lunch somewhere before heading over to FanFest. Should be a fun morning/early afternoon. See you tomorrow!

What are the times we can go to the Renaissance to get our tickets?EastHallApp wrote:Thought I'd start a new one for anyone interested in reporting their plans/experiences for Saturday, or trying to meet up with other posters.

Re: Saturday sightseeing/pregame thread
My football buddy had an serious unexpected illness so we had to cancel our plans to come down Friday. I debated about whether or not to make the trip solo since the old man's eyes aren't what they used to be, but have been looking forward to this for weeks now and plan to head down from ATL in a couple of hours for the game. So if you see a pitiful old man walking around looking lost in App apparel that would be me. GO APPS!

Yeah there is, but all of those things except the grave are really close together, and even the cemetery's near the stadium.proasu89 wrote:Lots to see and so little time.EastHallApp wrote:Thought I'd start a new one for anyone interested in reporting their plans/experiences for Saturday, or trying to meet up with other posters.

Re: Saturday sightseeing/pregame thread
Drove down yesterday, good amount of App fans at Hampton inn in Prattville. Under the weather but still made the trip with the wife. Couldn't eat dinner (no appetite) at Jalapeños last night but wife told me food was not good as an FYI.
Hoping I can make it through the entire game today and Go 'Neers!!

Re: Saturday sightseeing/pregame thread
On my way now from ATL. I've seen a few fellow App fans along the highway. I'll probably have about 4 hours to kill before game time. Any good lunch recommendations?

Maybe me and the wife hit dreamland bbq at the wrong time or got the wrong thing. ... wasnt our cup of tea. Wasnt bad, just not what I expected with all the hype. I guess Lexington NC has spoiled my BBQ tastebuds.

Might have been the time, my ribs were good, just not great and all 4 of us got ice cold Mac & cheese. Everything was good, just not as good as I hoped.

Re: Saturday sightseeing/pregame thread
Wasn't sure last night because the events were organized by fanbase, but I have to say, it seems like we have them outnumbered. Everywhere I go I've seen way more App gear than Ohio.
