Re: Question About Seating
I've never looked to see my ranking until now. Puts me in the 95th percentile and FYI I Bought 6 tickets. So it would be easy to see that a bunch of Good seats were grabbed up by 10%.

Re: Question About Seating
Drove by the Cramton Bowl on the way back to my hotel tonight. First impression was that it looked really small from the outside. Maybe because it's kind of landlocked and right up on the road (not much parking immediately adjacent). Also appeared like the field might be lower than the surrounding land, so it's sort of a hollowed-out look rather than a towering stadium. Actually, Alabama State's stadium (which you pass on 85) is more impressive from outside.

Re: Question About Seating
Word in Montgomery is we sold 6,000 tickets! We went into the stadium last night and really liked it. Not a bad seat in the building, and with most of being below street level there should be plenty of noise tonight. Everyone I talk to is having a great time, and the locals seem very pleased with the App turnout.
Re: Question About Seating
Been down here for two days, and all I'm seeing is a sea of the Black and Gold. I've seen very little green. Way to go App Nation!

Re: Question About Seating
We asked Doug Gillen last night how many tickets were sold through ASU. He said 3,500.

Re: Question About Seating
These row one seats are even worse than I thought. Like watching the game from a jail cell. I am now SUPREMELY pissed. This row should not even be sold! The only upside is I have the cheerleaders and dancers right in front of me. But even as Lecherous as I am, it's not enough to smooth this over for me.

Dude just be happy you are there. There are plenty of us in NC and elsewhere that would give their left arm to be in Montgomery today, but due to prior obligations couldn't swing it. Tired of hearing your spoiled bellyaching.AppinATL wrote:These row one seats are even worse than I thought. Like watching the game from a jail cell. I am now SUPREMELY pissed. App is in a Bowl. You paid only $25 for a ticket AND you are there in person. ENJOY IT and cheer loud for all of the Apps that couldn't make it.
Geez.

Re: Question About Seating
Don't tell me to stop bitching when you are sitting up in row 39 brother! And Be careful what you offer! Especially when the wife is involved! I wish I could post a picture of what my view is like, then you might cut me some slack for my bitching.

Re: Question About Seating
As it turned out the seats in section R were probably the best in the house. The action was right in front of us almost the entire game. Only on the safety did something happen on that end that I could not see well.

Re: Question About Seating
I was in Section R Row 11 on the aisle. I find that sometimes the people sitting around you make or break if you have a good time or not. The people around me were fantastic. Excited, loud, friendly and very into the game. It didn't take long to feel like I was among friends. Do to my friend being ill I had to attend the game alone. But after the game started it was like I was with family. Had a great time. I had read that parking was tight at the stadium. But I parked in Lot J only 3 rows from the stadium. The lot was huge and after the game it appeared only 1/3 of it was used. Some people were tailgating there as well. Plus all the locals were were friendly including the security people and most said they hoped App won.

Re: Question About Seating
Well, I'm not too proud to admit when I've been wrong (which is rare) but I have to say, I had a great time last night and no problem seeing the action. I had to stand the whole time to see anything but I didn't mind that. Like someone else said, all the action happened right in front of us. Including the jack-ass Ohio players coming off the field at half time, which of course made it enjoyable to give it right back to them at the end of the game. Then they planted the awards stage right in front of us after the game so I got some great pictures of the celebration.
My only regret is that I couldn't get away to spend a couple of days down there and take in more of the town and activities but it will rank right up there with the three NC games for me as far as great game day experiences.
