Good news: Miami still on Saturday for now.
Bad news: Nothing really decided there.

Good news: No weeknight home games for now.

Bad news: Have to travel to GaSo on a short week.
Good news: They're on the road the previous Saturday, and we're at home.

Good news: No Thanksgiving weekend home game

Good news: ULL game is on a bigger platform (ESPN2 vs. ESPNU), and probably with little to no football competition (MLB playoffs will be on, though).

Good news: Only two home games after Oct. 22 (i.e., minimal cold weather).

Agree with all of this, GaSo is at NM St, too, so long trip home for them.

Not having a game that last weekend could be a nice break before bowl preps.

Which game is homecoming?October 1 or 22?
I would think October 1, with Black Saturday the 22nd.
I suggest homecoming Oct 22 rather than the next home game following Miami (Idaho brings few fans). Black Saturday on Nov 5.

Just a guess. I doubt they call me for advice.

Terrific home schedule! 5 or 6 Saturday games. I also really like having 2 FBS home games in September and 2 FBS home games in October. Can't wait for the U game regardless of the date.

Love it. You could give me complete control with 0 input from opponent schools and I would have made the same schedule based on our 2016 matchups. Awesome!

I know we're mostly focused on the home schedule, but I'm pretty excited about the ULL game too. Looking forward to handing them a third straight blowout loss on ESPN2 on a Wednesday night.

What an awesome schedule ! I think that we will approach a 28,000 plus home average with the way this all fell out. No Thanksgiving Saturday game and no weekday game to drop our attendance. The future's so bright I've got to wear shades. 8-)

Does anyone have an insignia on when the final verdict for the Miami game will be made? I like to plan ahead.

our favorable schedule gives us a "one up" on our nearest competitors Ark St. and GS. Ark St. has 3 weekday games, and GS has the toughest schedule in the SBC, only 5 home games, one of them is a Wed game, 4 straight away games, and. I believe, 41 days between home games, ouch!!

Yeah, GS has a brutal stretch from late Sept to the first week of Nov.

GS did that to themselves, they need to put OOC near the front of the schedule.

wow, did not realize how tough of a stretch of games GS has, normally, I don't like our chances when we travel to Statesboro, but this year, got to believe with that brutal schedule before they play us, and GS players looking ahead to Old Miss after us, we have a really good chance to get out of there with a win.

Zero chance they're looking past us, but I think we have a good chance to win because we're better than them.

Those are tough games, but the midweek dates should actually help them. They get extra time to prepare for A-State, Georgia Tech and Ole Miss. We're the only one they play on a short week, and of course we'll be in the same boat.
