I get where he is coming from and trying to draw interest, but pitting conference foes against each other in the first round of the tournament is a crap move. At first I was taken back by the 8 seed, but considering this guy also gave Georgia an 8, I guess it's holds some water.

I wish the playoffs in FBS were different. At least in basketball someone like VCU and Butler have a shot, in football one of the Group of Five will never get in the conversation.

I agree a G5 will most likely never play for a NC under the current system. However Houston beating FSU on NYE was a pretty big deal. App needs to establish our FBS reputation and that will take a while but the access bowl would be our NC.
